We enjoyed our chats with the owners, who are Costa Rican, but very fluent in English. The hotel is located in a quiet neighbourhood; less than a 5 minute walk to the main road and main square. The owners gave great recommendations for tours and restaurants. We booked our tours and shuttles through them. Read moreWe were in our way back home from Liberia but the road was closed by locals on strike.||We had to take the Caña-La Fortuna route to get home earlier than the 6 hours delay in the original route however; it was dark and also was raining. Very dangerous for driving so we searched a place to stay for the night.||Cabinas Doña Alicia was the Oasis in the desert. Nice and clean rooms and very comfortable beds.
