Wow! What an incredible day out on the river! From start to finish, this rafting trip was an absolute blast, made even more special by the truly wonderful team running the show. Now, full disclosure, our day started with a slight hiccup – a mix-up meant our initial 9 am pickup didn't happen. But here's where this company truly shone! They were immediately and genuinely apologetic, quickly rebooking us for the afternoon slot. This is often where you truly see the measure of a great company – not just when things go perfectly, but how they react and put things right when they don't. And they absolutely nailed it! Once rescheduled, everything was seamless. The hour-long journey to the river flew by thanks to the brilliant guides. These guys (and gals!) were the perfect mix: incredibly knowledgeable about the area and wildlife, super friendly, full of jokes and good humour, but always laser-focused on our safety. You felt completely at ease in their expert hands. The rafting itself was phenomenal! We eased in with some fun, smaller rapids before tackling the bigger, more exhilarating ones. It was pure adrenaline and laughter the whole way! We were thrilled to spot some local wildlife, and the guides were great at pointing things out, even pausing for us to get a better look or take a dip in the refreshing water, including some fun rock jumping opportunities! The halfway stop for delicious fresh fruit was a perfect energy booster. After the final exciting run of rapids, we arrived back at the base where we could change into dry clothes and refuel with a tasty burrito – just what we needed! And remember that initial mix-up? The owner personally sought us out later and couldn't have been more apologetic. It was clear how much they genuinely cared about our experience. As a wonderful gesture, they insisted on giving us complimentary professional photos capturing all the amazing moments from our afternoon on the water! We were so impressed by this level of customer care and their absolute commitment to ensuring we still had the best possible day despite the earlier inconvenience. This wasn't just a rafting trip; it was a genuinely wonderful experience delivered by a group of people who are passionate about what they do and dedicated to their guests having an unforgettable time. We left with huge smiles, amazing memories, and incredible photos! We would 100%, without a doubt, recommend this company to anyone looking for adventure and outstanding service. Book it – you won't regret it!

TDLR; best customer service and exhilarating level 4 rafting experience!! I highly recommend this company for a seamless time! They have a very timely departure time of 8:30am. ~14 ppl in a van. During the approx 1.5 hr drive to the river, the guide was very charismatic, funny, and informative. He gave some facts about the volcano, town, and instructed us on what to expect and how to maneuver the raft. Do NOT take anything with you on your level 4 ride!! Expect to be soaked. Be sure to apply sunblock to your shoulders and legs, as we came out burnt despite applying. Leave everything on the bus which will be the same on the way back. Pack your cash tip with you to take onto the bus as you will not see your guides back at the office. It was 4 ppl to a raft (plus guide) and a total raft time from beginning to end was 2 hours. Our guide Cheezo, made our experience extra fun by intentionally flipping us over or throwing us into the water!! Thrilling experience with several deep dips, turns, overturns, violent collisions, but crazy fun if you're looking for that! It made me want to try a level 5 next! At the end, staff was ready with towels to help dry off and a bottle of water. They prepared a HUGE spread of fresh fruit (watermelons, mangos, papaya, oranges, pineapple)— it was SO refreshing!! After this quick snack break, this was the only point to tip your guides before hopping onto the bus to the office for their provided lunch. The options were beef, fish, or veggie Casado. The portions were generous but everything was extremely bland without a healthy topping of their hot sauce. Beef chunks were low quality as they were a bit hard to chew. I loved their sweet tea. The office has free drip coffee. Showers to rinse off after the rafting. 100 Photos available for purchase for $40 (cash) and $46 (CC). The action shots were super cool! Recommended to split the cost with your raft buddies.

I researched a lot of rafting between those on the west side of the country, the Quepos area, and the La Fortuna area. I’m extremely happy we decided to book with Arenal Rafting in La Fortuna. It was a fantastic day of fun and excitement. We did the class IV tour on the Sarapiqui River for the adrenaline junkies. We are not experienced rafters but you don’t need to be. You just need to be ready to work hard, be trainable, and listen to your guides. The river was prime for rafting since a week or two before it had very high water. We also had some rain the day or two before we went out. The lunch at the end was fantastic and the service throughout the whole experience is top notch. I would like to put an emphasis on how important the crew seems to care about your safety. There are many individuals that go down the river with you to be ready for any situations that come up. You still need to be ready to react quickly and correctly, and make sure you’re in good physical condition and can swim. I’m a big guy who works hard in the gym and this was a heck of a workout. You’ll feel it a day or two afterwards for sure. So much fun though! The rafting is about two hours. We saw monkeys and some different birds on our trip. The shuttle to and from the river is about an hour each way. The whole thing took about 6 hours from the time you arrive to when you’re on the road to your next adventure. A bonus is that you can make great friends from all over the world very quickly as we did. We actually all continued our fun and went ATV’ing together right after the rafting. Highly recommend this place.

I had the most exhilarating experience with Arenal Rafting and I can't praise them enough for delivering an unforgettable rafting adventure!

From the moment we arrived, the staff exhibited professionalism and a genuine passion for providing an exceptional outdoor experience. The safety briefing was thorough, and the guides were not only knowledgeable but also infused the session with a sense of fun and camaraderie.

The journey down the river was an absolute thrill! The rapids were challenging yet manageable, offering the perfect balance for both seasoned rafters and first-timers like myself. The scenery along the river was breathtaking, with lush landscapes and stunning natural beauty adding an extra layer to the excitement.

The equipment provided by the company was top-notch, ensuring our safety without compromising the excitement of the adventure. The guides' expertise and skill navigating the rapids instilled confidence, making the entire experience enjoyable and worry-free.

One thing that truly stood out was the team's commitment to environmental conservation. The guides emphasized Leave No Trace principles, and the company actively contributed to local conservation efforts. It's refreshing to see a company that not only provides an incredible adventure but also values and preserves the natural beauty of the areas they operate in.

After conquering the rapids, we were treated to a delicious post-rafting meal, a perfect way to end the day. The attention to detail and thoughtfulness extended to every aspect of our experience, making it clear that Arenal Rafting goes above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction.

In conclusion, if you're seeking an adrenaline-pumping, well-organized, and memorable rafting experience, look no further than Arenal Rafting. Five stars just don't seem enough to express the level of satisfaction I had with their services. I left with not only a sense of accomplishment but also with memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you Johnny, our guide and the entire team for an...
