This was an incredible time. Looked at lots of different Safari float tours and landed on this one because of the glowing reviews of Carlos. He did not disappoint, and we saw way more wildlife than I was expecting. Saw 2 sloths (one very up close and one very active, moving around the trees), lots of monkeys, several basilisk lizards (saw them run along the water multiple times), toucans and LOTS of other bird species, and a tayra (this was a new animal for me, super cool experience seeing it in the wild).

Separately from the wildlife we saw, Carlos is a fun, personable guy who is passionate about nature and his country. He added a lot of enjoyment to the tour. Lots of interesting facts about CR and the species we saw. He was great at spotting things and making sure we paddled over to the right places to get right up close. And funny and easy going - the type of guide you want when you're on vacation.

Capping off the tour at a family farm with fresh fruit and farm animals (and a cold beer) was the cherry on top.

Rafting on the Penas Blancas River in Costa Rica was an incredible experience, filled with captivating encounters with wildlife, including howler monkeys, crocodiles, and a sloth, along with the surprise discovery of a porcupine hiding inside a tree trunk with its tail sticking out, all amidst the backdrop of lush, scenic flora and vibrant birdlife. The eco-conscious tour provider's tree-planting initiative added to the adventure's environmental charm, and the guides' exceptional hospitality, along with a delicious pineapple and mango break, made it an unforgettable journey. One of the best experiences I had when visiting CR🇨🇷. I highly recommend the Safari Float. Carlos is a great guide and makes sure everyone is enjoying themselves. Before venturing in the river, he let us stop and buy some snacks and “sodas” for the trip. He has a talent for spotting wildlife and exotic plants along the river. Anytime he saw an exotic animal, he took the opportunity for us to take pictures or get the best view, whether it was with the binoculars or in plain eye view. We managed to see a sloth, some iguanas, poison dart frogs, couple of monkeys (while also being startled by howler monkeys), & countless exotic birds. Halfway through the tour we stopped by for some fresh fruit while also being able to explore some nearby fauna. Carlos is truly a great person and just makes the experience 10x memorable.
