Had an excellent stay at Waterfall Bungalows! Carla and her team are courteous and always ready to help in person and over WhatsApp. They even added some nice touches to our room when we mentioned this was a special occasion trip. Our bungalow looked exactly like the photos—very clean, with all the essentials. The bungalows may look rustic, but it's definitely more of a glamping setup as there's a tv, spacious high-pressure hot/cold shower, fluffy towels, and AC. The bungalow is very well-built and we didn't see a single critter inside during our stay, even though that would have been normal. High ceilings made it feel bigger than it was. Wifi was spotty, but I didn't go to the jungle for good internet. We loved sitting on our porch and watching different animals, we even spotted some toucans from there one day. Location is a ~30min walk from downtown La Fortuna, which was fine for us as we just took a quick taxi over as needed. Tour companies had no issues with pickups/dropoffs at the bungalows. It felt like we were close to everything we wanted to do in LF without being in the center. Note there is currently no breakfast onsite (but plenty of options a few min walking down the road or downtown). Very peaceful stay at the Waterfall Bungalows, definitely recommend!

Great location with beautiful views!! The waterfall was a 5 minute drive and the volcano view was spot on! Clean quiet and spacious bungalows surrounded by nature. The staff was super friendly. We opted to include the breakfast, which consisted of a variety of locally sourced fresh fruit, eggs, rice& beans, toast and coffee.

I stayed here with my friends. Everything was wonderful! This is really a gem! I have no complaints. The bungalows were clean and aesthetically pleasing, the bed was comfy, the owner was very communicative and attentive... It's a great place to stay, and for such an affordable price! The $5 breakfasts were tasty and the owner was the sweetest woman who helped us schedule visits and rides to various locations. The place is also within walking distance of several good restaurants....
