If I could give this place 6 stars I would! I seriously had the best time with tour guide Erick. I had a private ride and since he could see I was experienced we got to do a very fun trip with the horses across these farm lands and get right up close to cows. We had beautiful views of the volcanoes and went up some steep up hills and downhills. He even took me into the depths of the rainforest which was really exciting and different. He had lots of information on local vegetation and plants that was really interesting and we saw some toucans! Instead of seeing the la fortuna waterfall which I already have he took me up to see a different one and then we swung around to meet the local indigenous peoples. They gave us a fermented pineapple drink to try and I got to shoot an authentic bow and arrow. It amazes me how jam packed two hours was. I would do it all over again Iām a heart beat! I had such an incredible time. Do not leave Arenal without having...

Booking this was super easy. We didnāt book way in advanceā¦maybe 3 days. Communication was often whether by email or text. It was also easy to find where to go.
The location on the stables and ride was great. We went during the rainy season so we didnāt see as much of the Volcano but we were okay with that. We still went up old lava tubes, saw some other wild life and spent some time loving on the horses.
Our guide, Adrian ??, was really great! He was very friendly, even let my daughter and I switch horses and I prefer a slower, hang out in the back kind of horse. The info he gave us about the property and horses after the ride was really...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe had a great time on the horseback riding trip to the waterfall. The trip was about first riding the horse to the beginning of the hiking trail for about an hour, then hiking down the mountain to see the breathtaking waterfall, and finally riding the horse back to the farm. We hang out in the waterfall for a rather long time, and the guide waited for us patiently. We were also given almost unlimited pineapple to eat after the hike, which was sweet, juicy, and wonderful. The horses are gentle and of good condition. I can see the effort they put in caring for the well-being of the horses. However, the horse riding trail was mostly dirt roads, which was not as scenic as I imagined. We were able to ride inside the forest along a river for a while. Overall, really...
