My family and I visited Costa Rica for the first time and the whole experience with our stay at Private Family Homes couldn’t be better. Camilo, Diana and Maribel were very helpful, attentive, polite and courteous from the very beginning til the end of our stay.
The location was great, only a few minutes away from town and very close (within walking distance) to Arenal River.
The room we stayed in was very nice. It had everything we needed. I loved the fact that it had a functional kitchen with utensils, pots, microwave, toaster, a stove and a fridge—therefore I was able to go into town and buy some groceries, that way I was able to cook my own meals in our room and save money. Bathroom was clean and had plenty of toilet paper and paper towels.
The air conditioning unit worked great and kept us cool.
Also Private family Homes has a laundry room in which you can wash your dirty Laundry. It was great because we did a lot of activities outdoors and our clothes were a mess by the end of the day.
Last but not least, they have a spa on the premises where you can get a massage by either Maribel or Diana They’re very skilled and know how to work those muscles. My wife and I loved it. We can’t wait to go back. When we do- Private Family Homes will be our choice…
Prices are great-affordable, location is great, staff is the best....
Read moreWe stayed here for 5 nights. The owner stays in the same lot in a separate house and makes himself available for any questions. He also provided a lot of great advice and tips for us as we had never been to Costa Rica. He speaks perfect English.
I left some of my cards in the house and he even mailed them to me! He messaged me about the lost cards before I even realized they were gone. He was very trustworthy and made us young female travelers feel safe & at ease.
The house had everything we needed and was comfortable and safe. The bedroom has air conditioning, which was a nice perk. There were cute swings in front of the house as well, where you could enjoy your morning coffee with a view of a magnificent volcano.
It was our first time in Costa Rica and I would definitely recommend La Fortuna and this house to anyone. Very safe area with beautiful nature and kind,...
