Wow! Just wow! My first time in Costa Rica and I couldn't imagine a more beautiful setting. Nestled in a beautiful part of Manuel Antonio, not to far from the "downtown" Quepos, it really is a true destination for those wanting a true relaxing Costa Rica vacation. The rooms were spacious, clean, and cozy. It felt like being home away from home. Kitchens stocked with all of your cooking necessities, and a really nice welcome basket. The bathrooms are awesome! Bidets in every bathroom! That alone is enough to warrant a stay lol Towels were nice quality and there was plenty to go around. Also has shampoo/conditioner and body wash in the shower for you in case you forget or don't bring enough. The waterfall shower heads were a very nice touch. The bedroom are welcoming and the mattress very comfortable. They have really cozy sheets on the beds, and they don't come off when sleeping. The views from our individual bedroom are something I won't soon forget. The common area in our 2br villa, had really comfy loungers with a tv although we really didn't use it much. Just outside our door was a huge balcony with a table and chairs as well as a sitting area with an outside 3 seater and chairs as well. Perfect way to have your morning coffee. Wait the coffee!!!! OMG it's really, really good. Like I may have brought some home good lol and yes there's a coffee maker in the room. I know this is a long review, but seriously could go on and on about this property. From the pool and gazebo areas, to the views and spider monkeys, to the exceptional staff. The staff helped us book our excursions and saved us a ton of money! We went whale watching on a boat, they served us drinks, made a fresh lunch, and great music. Truly incredible. We also went to the world famous Manuel Antonio national park for a tour and it was absolutely breath taking. Ok ok I won't bore you anymore. If you're considering Costa Rica, you should absolutely book at Jungle Creek. We're already planning our 2024 trip and I truly didn't want to leave. Thank you for a wonderful experience at a more than reasonable rate. I'm actually surprised how affordable it is for everything they offer. ✌🏻 out Costa Rica & Jungle Creek see you next summer!

Responding to owners response to my review - With all due respect - by responding to Hiedi in a text saying "okay thanks" does NOT mean I communicated that I was satisfied with the result. By denying that you truly have active mold issue will certainly not magically go away. Admitting and understanding that there is a true issue is first step to correct issue. We only saw Heidi on the arrival date, after that, it was all by text communication. And if you think you have a full time staff all day every day, you might want to double check that fact. The staff is NOT on site EVERYDAY. I am hoping that this review may help you understand what is going on in your business... Clearly NOT!!! I hope your future customers will read this and stay clear of this place. DON'T RISK YOUR HEALTH!! We stayed at Dos Palmas in July. When we arrived, Heidi gave us a tour of the Villa. Upon entering, there was a strong scent of mold. Once we settled in, we actually found active mold on the walls. Called Heidi right away, but was told that the cleaners just scrubbed the walls 2 days ago and mold was common in Costa Rica - they will clean the walls next day. Next day, received a text from Heidi saying the active mold I found was actually concrete - as you can see photos - it is NOT concrete... ITS ACTIVE MOLD!!!! It was on the lamps, it was on shower walls, it was ON THE WALLS!!. There was dead bugs on the walls, live bugs on the plates, ants in the microwave, towels they provided was dirty. Pillow cover smelled like oil head and wasn't washed a while. I tried to look for a place near by but all was booked. The last review 1 star review Jungle Creek received was the reality of this place. I don't even think this place deserved 1 star.

Unfortunately, we have to honestly warn people to stay away from this place! This place needs a serious face-lift! It smelled like mold when we walked in, but ok.. move on. The bedspreads looked like they hadn't been washed but worse than that the AC unit leaked on our heads for two days. We reported it after the first day and the owner told us the manager would take care of it but nope. Second night - no sleep again and had wet moldy pillows. Our sons room leaked and soaked his bag with his clothes. We tried to wash our clothes but one washer was broken and they said use the other one but that one was broken too. We understand life happens, but what was worse is the owner never even apologized to us that we checked out two days earlier or offered to even compensate one or two nights. Not even a follow up message. There are so many other nice affordable places to stay in this area... go somewhere else!

We had an incredibly disappointing experience at this property and strongly urge others to avoid it. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a strong, unmistakable smell of mold and mildew throughout the villa. The smell was so bad that even our 5-year-old daughter commented on it. The property manager dismissed our concerns, insisting it was "normal humidity," even though it was clear that they were trying to air out the place with fans and open doors and windows.||We were eventually moved to a different villa, but this only led to more problems. The new villa wasn't ready for us—unmade beds, dirty rooms, filthy toilets, and damp, musty sheets with visible mold spots (yes, actual mold!). I had to find the laundry room myself and do the sheets, which is absurd for a vacation rental where you're paying for comfort and cleanliness. Additionally, the laundry room was also filled with a musky odor and the sheets themselves were covered in mildew.||As if that wasn't enough, the owner later admitted that the property had been flooded under 6 feet of water just weeks before our stay! No wonder the place smelled terrible and was in such poor condition. On top of that, the owner told us that we waited so long for our accommodation to be cleaned because it’s difficult to get local workers to show up—a weak excuse for such poor service and complete neglect. To add insult to injury, when we finally gave up and left after the first night, the owners would not accept our request for a refund. ||The property is in serious need of upkeep and the staff's dismissive, unprofessional attitude only made things worse. This was a far cry from the relaxing vacation we hoped for. I can't stress enough—don't waste your money or precious vacation time...
