Green Villas El Coco — Hotel in Sardinal

We spent out last 4 days of the our trip through Costa Rica. We were expecting a tropical oasis when looking at the price level of this accommodation. We were expecting a quick walk to the beach but in fact the road is blocked. There is a huge pool of mud in front. You can’t even walk there. The smell of open sewage is sickening. The apartments are close to a few open air bars. The sound level they produce is insane, so difficult to get good night sleep. The interior is very outdated. The towels and bedsheets are old, worn and discolored. The pool looks awesome on the website. Please look at the detailed pictures in this post. If this accommodation would cost like 1/3, it would be ok. But definitely not 4...

I am a Travel Agent and I booked this Villa for my clients through Expedia for Travel Agents. There was no communication at all up until today and my clients leave tomorrow from Canada to Liberia. I had to cancel it and scramble to find them something else at the last minute. I emailed them, tried to call, tried calling on whatsapp as well, went directly through the contact form on their website and even VRBO as well. Nothing. We got no address, there is no front desk here so needed instructions to enter, and Expedia noted that there is a cancellation fee which I will be fighting if my clients get charged. Complete and utter dump! Felt like staying in/ near Guantanamo Bay. Only thing what’s missing here are the orange suits and long bearded men. Place is infested with mosquitoes.
