HOT WOK COCO — Restaurant in Sardinal

Wow took 35 minutes for wonton soup which tasted like a ton of Maggi Chicken Bouillons were thrown in. Wontons super salty. There were people there way before us who just got their food, my simple wings still did not come out as I am writing this. Sorry, but this place sucks. So does everything else. They need to put a real Asian restaurant, this one is the pits. Oh before I forget the most important issue, a young BOHO couple looking like a reject from Woodstock had their kids sitting on the table top both barefooted playing, yes on the the top of table you are about to eat off of. Hmmm the smallest child was still wearing diapers, imagine your food being served on that table. When I told them of the situation they just smiled and ignored me, immediately I asked for the bill and told them they are pigs to allow this to happen while people were about to dine. Imagine if this didn't phased them what are they doing to your food? Don't be stupid and eat here. I hate dirty...

If I could give zero stars, I would. The worst Chinese food I have ever had. The orange chicken was so soggy and limp (even with the sauce being served on the side) it was either frozen and thawed in the microwave or pre batter,fried,then microwaved to heat up. Five tiny crab wontons for 4,500 colones. Gyoza was the only thing I could manage to chew and swallow, but also way overpriced for what was probably not house made. I have no idea how this place has positive reviews.

In response to the owners reply: yes, I am sure I ordered at Hot Wok- connected to the casino in Playa del Coco. There are plenty of other bad reviews so it is concerning you don’t seem to take complaints and comments seriously to improve, but instead become defensive and insist the customer is mistaken. Yikes. Maybe you had a bad day/bad product in the kitchen but I’m not going back now...

I wish I could give this place zero stars. The service is painfully slow! waiters act like they couldn’t care less, and getting their attention feels like a chore. Expect to wait forever for your food, only to be served something bland, overpriced, and completely lacking in flavor. Not worth a single penny. But the worst part? The owner. She’s incredibly self-absorbed, rude, and has the most obnoxious attitude. Instead of running the restaurant professionally, she struts around like she owns the world, forcing everyone to endure her awful singing while acting like a little kid. It’s beyond unprofessional and downright embarrassing. Save your time and money! There are plenty of better restaurants that actually care about their customers and serve food that isn’t a complete disappointment. Would never return, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to my...
