Villa Italia Restaurante Playas del Coco — Restaurant in Sardinal

I was here 2 times oct 12 + 13th 2022, i had the same thing both times. -Very nice restaurant. Fine dining atmosphere, open kitchen, you can see everything the chefs are doing. It was not busy either time i was here. Indoors but i dont think there is air conditioning, but there is fans. -The costs are slightly higher then other resturants, but you get what you pay for, this is high quality food. -the waiter was very nice and friendly, and they accepted my Canadian Visa Debit card. -The food was VERY good, it was the best meal of my 2 weeks in costa rica. I had the chicken tenderloins 2 seperate times. The meal came with potatos and salad. It was very good, lots of rosemary, perfect spices. -One thing i noticed was that when i was there for lunch, there was one male chef making the food, and he cut the potatoes into dices cubes, and it was amazing. But later when i ordered later on around 9pm for take out i got potato wedges, that were ok but seemed to lack what the diced cubes had, and there was the male chef and at least 1 other there this time. Not sure if its difference of chef or difference between lunch and dinner, but i liked the cubes lol.

We dined here around 7:30 pm on a Wednesday. We were the only people in the restaurant. We ordered in Spanish and I really thought our waiter said he would bring us a large cold vase of water and before I could say anything that we wanted tap water and that I thought that’s what he said he had opened the bottle walking to our table. This is a common scam for people who don’t know better but this made me really upset because the water bottle costs $5. I think this is quite deceitful and I didn’t appreciate it. I ordered the salmon pasta for $24 and got like 2 oz of salmon pieces in my pasta. The taste itself was good but for that much money I was expecting a piece of salmon fillet on top not just random pieces. The waiter was attentive and the atmosphere is nice but I just really didn’t like that they scammed us on the water. Decent food but not for the price. Also bread is not provided free and is an additional cost. Recommend Santorini!...

Well it's easy, if you want to have a culinary experience of another level this is the right place, we recommend our clients to always visit this elegant but cozy place at least once, at the end of their trip they have visited it several times. Its cuisine is simple but exquisite with Italian recipes from several decades ago, homemade pasta, Mediterranean dishes, with meat and chicken plates and also with gluten free and vegetarian service. It is a gourmet place, do not expect them to fill your plate but you will be satisfied at the end of the evening or maybe you want a little more, it is a dinner to taste and have a glass of wine while enjoying the flavors that explode in your mouth.
