The tinny room, of ca.12 square meters was advertised as a 3 person room. The large bed, which in reality was just 2 single bed put together, with a space in between of ca.5cm. Each single bed was 75cm wide !! Sofa, is an IKEA armchair-bed. The sound of WC coming from the up and next rooms can be heard loud and clear, as discharge water (other things as well) run down the pipes. Each time the tap in one of the rooms is open, you know ! Footsteps on the upper floor. People talking in the next and upstairs room can be heard and understood, good enough. The most lovely thing, was the single blanket in December !! An AC who worked the whole night, but could not heat more than some degrees (thermo-insolated room, what is that ?). Ceiling height and room size, could be problematic for 2 person sleeping in this room - I had to open the window during the night (please read other reviewers opinion regarding this thema). There is also a room without window, so please check before booking ! The property is a little tricky to find with google map, but not impossible. It is located in a hill, my 3 month pregnant wife did not find it easy to climb - also not described. Parking is ca.200m away, could be problematic if you have things to carry with you. The road to the property is with some parts with steps and others with small rocks, that makes it impossible to use the wheels of a luggage. The rooms have a wonderful view - YEEE, sure, from the next building windows and clothes hanged to dry !! I found a microwave pest repellent (rodents maybe..), no one told me about. With a pregnant woman I unplugged it immediately.
THINGS ARE DIFFERENT FROM DESCRIPTIONS . Breakfast is NOT served in the property(advertised so), rather at Olive Tree bar - ca.500m away. Coupon with cost 10€/person/night. At Olive Tree, they will show a breakfast menu, with 4,5 choices costing 30-70Kuna (4-9.5€ (Agabe "Hotel" making some money from your breakfast ?!). The toilet electric installation are not safe at all. Some wires were insulated with insulating tape, an absolutely NO GO in a high humidity place, as a bath, according to VDE !! Water heater installation are also placed in a very dangerous way ( Four 150liter boilers placed in a dangerous way, people walk down this installation - see pictures) In case of a failure, we have the perfect mixture of steam, water and electricity). Last, but not least this place is advertised as a 4 start HOTEL (Matina, the owner, maybe has all the papers from the Croatian authorities), but I only saw a 3 flat building with a surface of ca. 50sq.meters/ floor and 4 rooms. Receptions working hours 7-16:00 ! The receptions office, is a 2 sq.meter room, a hall with 2 sofas,an improvised bar with a home coffee machine and a refrigerator with cola and alike . THERE IS NO ONE EXCEPT HOSTS DURING THE NIGHT THERE, and the "hotel" main door, is a normal glass door. In case you have a problem during the night, all you have is a tel nr. I booked for 2 days, in this 4 STAR "Hotel", but left with a very bitter taste after the...
Read moreI want to start this review by highlighting the best part of our experience: the exceptional service we received from Megi, as well as Paula and Roko. Their attention was impeccable at all times and truly made a difference during our stay.||We booked this hotel through the travel agency Pangea (I’ll write a separate review about them, it definitely deserves one), with the expectation of having a comfortable room for our first trip with our one-year-old daughter. The idea was to enjoy a peaceful and family-friendly environment.||However, upon arrival, we were surprised to find out that we wouldn’t be staying in the main hotel building, but in an “annex” house, which they told us was just a 10–15 minute walk away and labeled as a “luxury room.” Unfortunately, our experience was far from luxurious.||We paid €198 per night for a very small room, barely a few square meters, on the fourth floor of a building with no elevator. We had to climb six steep and narrow flights of stairs, which was especially difficult while carrying a stroller, suitcases, and traveling with a small child. The room was so cramped that we had to store our luggage and the folded stroller in elevated spots just to be able to stand and move around.||To make things worse, the building is next to other apartments and terraces typically occupied by groups of young people, which is perfectly understandable in this area, but resulted in constant noise and loud music until around 5 a.m. every night. Our daughter was woken up four or five times each night, and none of us got any proper sleep during our three-night stay.||Another point to note is that breakfast is not served at the hotel itself, but rather in a nearby restaurant, something we were not expecting from a four-star establishment.||To be fair, the main hotel building did seem to meet expectations: nice common areas, a well-maintained pool, and truly excellent customer service. But if you’re placed in the annex building, the experience is completely different. They tell you that the only difference is not having a pool on-site, but that is simply not true. The gap in quality, comfort, and rest is substantial.||We booked what we believed was a proper four-star hotel at a matching price point, but what we got fell short of that standard. There was no possibility of moving to the main building as it was fully booked.||In short: the staff was the highlight of our stay, and we’re genuinely grateful for their professionalism and kindness. But if you’re considering this hotel, make sure you know exactly what kind of room you’re booking and where it’s located. Especially if you’re traveling with children or looking for peace and quiet, I’d strongly recommend avoiding the so-called “luxury rooms” in the annex.||We sincerely hope our experience helps other travelers make a more informed decision and avoid a similar...
Read moreSimilar to the previous review, we booked the due to the photos showing a four star hotel in the heart of Split. Travelling with my husband and two children we booked two double rooms, very much influenced by having a pool on site.||Unfortunately once we arrived at the nicely presented reception we were told we had been placed in the annex, which they said was a 5 minute walk. This was a complete shock as the booking page did not indicate this in either the description or the photos shown. The walk was actually longer but the receptionist and porter did carry our bags.||The annex was an apartment block, with the hotel occupying the two top floors, up a very steep narrow staircase. The first two floors were occupied by residents. The rooms were similar to those shown in the photos, however it felt more akin to booking an Air B&B rather than the luxury hotel we were expecting and had paid for. I was extremely disappointed and felt like we'd been completely misled. I asked to be moved to the main site but we were told it was fully booked.||The room on the top floor was extremely hot and the air conditioning, despite being on, was not able to combat the extreme heat. The noise from the street throughout the night was loud and disruptive. ||We did use the pool, which was an absolute delight - extremely peaceful and relaxing, however having to walk 10 minutes for the pleasure did take the shine of what we had expected when booking.||Breakfast was not at the hotel instead in a very small 'trendy' cafe. It served trendy food and unfortunately nothing suitable for our fussy eater. ||We had to walk back to the hotel's main reception the morning we checked out to return the keys, a small annoyance as we had a taxi waiting to take us to the airport.||Overall I would only book if you are able to stay at the main site and before booking received that in writing. The annex is not four star and it is misleading for the hotel to not have explained this clearly in the photos or the hotel description on its various booking pages. We overpaid for what was essentially a room in a shabby apartment block with no reception or...
