I went to Split, Croatia in October and visited Marjan hills on the first day. You can type Marjan hills in Google maps to find where to start. The entry is free. There are houses, restaurants, kids playground, botanical garden, a small zoo, Jewish cemetery and various walking tracks along the way to the top. There are more than 300 stone steps all the way so anyone can reach the top on foot. There is a proper road so one can ride a bike or drive a car almost to the top. However, walking all the way is fun as you can stop at various viewpoints and view scenery. The highest peak of Marjan is about 180 meters and is called Telegrin. From here you can see a panoramic view of Split beddies Spilt channel surrounding islands and mountains. Breathtaking Views and Peaceful Escape

Marjan Hill is a must-visit when you're in Split, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the city, the Adriatic Sea, and the surrounding islands. It’s the perfect escape from the busy city, with plenty of walking and hiking trails through lush greenery.

The climb is well worth it, and there are several viewpoints along the way where you can stop, rest, and take in the scenery. Whether you're up for a morning hike or a leisurely walk, Marjan Hill is a peaceful and refreshing retreat. It's also great for those who enjoy cycling or simply want to enjoy a picnic in nature.

Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience nature and enjoy stunning...

Unfortunately, when we were there, the upper section wasn't accessible yet because it needed to be secured against falling branches, trees, and debris after the storm on July 8th 2025. After climbing the stairs (where the summit begins), you can relax in a restaurant with a snack and a drink and enjoy the view, while the crickets in the woods give you a sense of tranquility. Or, after the walk, when you're down again, go to restaurant Fife for some simple vut authentic and...
