Konoba Fratelli — Restaurant in Grad Split

Customer service: ⭐️⭐️ two stars.

I went there with my date a few hours ago. They had an empty table, but the bald waiter told me it was reserved and they didn't have a table for me. So, I waited outside for a table to become available. A few minutes later, the blond lady waitress asked me why I was outside because there was a free table there. And pointed at the table i wanted to sit but the dude told me it’s reserved.

Long story short, the restaurant doesn't take reservations, but that bold waiter apparently didn’t like how I look.

I'm not sure what went wrong in his career that how he forgot that customer service is all about making the clients feel welcome and comfortable.

So, the two stars goes to the blond waitress who let us in and was absolutely nice , welcoming and professional .

The food: Five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I ordered the Caprese pizza, and it was great—like really great! 👍🏼

The atmosphere: Three stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️

The restaurant looked fancy, but the atmosphere was just okay. It was very busy, and the tables were close to each other. It was too warm in this weather, especially when the place is full. They should install fans or something to cool...

Good flavoring of food. Tried seafood risotto and captain soup, and especially nice truffle and cheese pasta. Though shrimps were not thoroughly cleaned and a bit sandy.

Lousy service. After complaining about the loud noise made by a waitress nearby cleaning and dropping forks, the waiter made no effort like offering an alternative seat or ask the lady to tune down a bit. He ensured that the lady would finish soon which was not true as she started the noise all over again later. To be honest the lady was just doing her job and had nothing to blame, but the waiter showed little care of customer experience. Then my headache was triggered and I had to plug my ears manually.

Long waiting time. On a Monday evening with empty indoor tables, after a long wait (long enough for the lady nearby finished two rounds of cleaning), I asked how much more waiting time are we saying. The same waiter said any minute as we were next. And fifteen more minutes later we were actually served.

In short, great chef and team but need better operation and waiters to provide...

Fantastic place with Italian and seafood dishes. Restaurant is located near harbour close to the Old Town. I am deeply impressed by waiterss services who toom care about our comfort and answered on our difficult questions :D I was also positively suprised when waiterss chnaged my glass of wine when insect was found. I have never seen such situation befor so it is massive plus for staff! I really recomend pasta carbonara with magnigicent smoked well fried becon and delicious creamy sauce. Amount of cheese was also good :) we had opportunity eating fresh tuna steak with fried vegetables and huge amount of focaccia alla fratelli as a starter. In sum it is obligatory to visit Konoba Fratelli when you visit Split :) You will not be...
