Great location just minutes from the Promenade and a 15-minute walk to the ferry terminal. Several restaurants and cafes are located in the immediate area of the apartment. The Old Terrace Cocktail Bar is next to the hotel (fantastic outdoor bar). Unit 305 is situated in a building behind the main hotel building. The top-floor unit is spacious and recently renovated, though it could benefit from more closet space or a second armoire. The armoire includes a small combination safe. The unit is accessed via a staircase (4 floors up, with no elevator). The main hotel building does have an elevator and a very nice rooftop terrace, which is available to all guests. Galeria Valeria comprises the main hotel building with a lobby, dining area, and rooftop terrace, as well as two neighboring buildings. All three buildings are accessible with your room key. The entry doors are large and heavy, making a loud noise when slammed shut, which is not ideal if your room is on the main floor close to the entry. The hotel should consider installing rubber bumpers or cushions to lessen the noise. Apartment 305 in the rear building has a small kitchen and a small balcony that offers views of the city and the sea. The kitchen is equipped with a bar fridge and some dishes. The unit is tastefully furnished and has a flat-screen TV, which we did not use. However, the Wi-Fi is below average both inside and outside the unit. The unit has a ductless mini-split heat pump, providing plenty of air conditioning. Our stay included a continental breakfast served in the main hotel building. The 8 a.m. breakfast offered a decent variety of hot and cold food and drinks. The breakfast area is small, and the buffet can be difficult to navigate when all the tables are taken. The hotel staff were very responsive and helpful before and during our stay. Overall, we were very happy with our accommodations. See video on YouTube Channel:...

Read moreI would have given 5 stars but our visit was let down. Firstly the hotel is lovely and the room we had was very comfortable. I will say if your street facing there can be a lot of street noise at night and our visit was in winter so summer I would think it much worse. The major upset is the breakfast. We were going to do this both mornings but ended up being only once. You have to pay cash at reception and when we said we would like breakfast but was it possible a little earlier due to running the Split half marathon and this was sorted no problem which we were grateful for, however, we were then told that as it was quite the price went UP from 10 euros to 15 euros. We were not happy but agreed. We were told to help ourselves to tea and coffee, except there was not any. We did find a pod coffee and finally got a coffee sorted. When our food of cereal yoghurt juice slices of bread and jam arrived we asked for milk. Then told no milk at all. What makes this worse is the open supermarket 3 mins walk away. So in short try and attract business by bringing down the price not putting it up. Get the basics sorted. Finally, when I got up it was clear by very large cobwebs in corners and from the ceiling the room had not been cleaned. Oh looked like 3 bags of cement mix stored there too. For a lovely hotel, this is pretty shocking and a real letdown. We did see a receptionist briefly on Sunday and mentioned this she said not to bother with breakfast but after that once there was no one in reception, even when we left. A poor experience stained a...
