Hotel Villa Harmony — Hotel in Grad Split

Wow such a modern and beautifully decorated hotel. It’s brand new, opened in June 2021, and you can tell that a lot of effort has been put into making it a great place to stay.

Positives:

charming and efficient staff, friendly and so well informed about the local area. Always willing to help and made us feel extremely welcome.

good breakfast with plenty of choice - freshly cooked eggs and pancakes available to order, breads, coffee, cereals, fruit, and anything else I’ve missed they can provide!

great location right opposite the beach, but only a 10 minute walk to the old town of Split. 5 mins walk from the ferry and bus terminals.

bright and airy reception, calm place to sit and relax.

this is the cleanest hotel I’ve ever stayed in! I commented daily on the cleanliness of the room, their standards are extremely high. Was completely wowed by this, and I’m fussy!!

Negatives:

being right across from the beach meant that the beach parties were extremely disruptive and loud. I hate to say this as it’s not the hotels fault, but it really spoiled our sleep. It wasn’t even the loud music, it was basically the excitable partygoers shouting and screaming right outside our room until the wee hours! Bit of a nightmare to be honest!

the room was a little small, and there was a ‘feature’ in the middle for the TVs so that you could watch from the sofa or the bed. However we felt the room was just too small to accommodate this as it resulted in a few bashed elbows!

sometimes the ‘mod cons’ were disruptive, there was a smoke alarm or something with a flashing red light, which unfortunately also kept us up at night!

the pool was small and unfortunately too cold for us to really enjoy swimming in.

Stayed with family based on recommendation from friends Beautiful and brand new (1year) boutique hotel, gorgeou inside and out, decor was tasteful, sparkling clean wverywhere; staff and manager, Kristina, were more than accomodating with extended stay and recommendations. We had breakfast almost every morning, excellent selection of different options, hot and cold (my older children enjoyed yogurt and cereal, they said it was the best), fresh fruits and salads and much more, much better than other hotels we stayed at. The Hotel is located right by the only sandy beach, 2 mins walking, however it was not our favorite Beach, but the view from balcony was magical, the best way to wake up. Hotel is also 10-15 mins walk into town, safe at night. I should mention that there are clubs and load music at night that may be a bother to some, but we were used to it after 1st night. Rooms: we had a large suite and kids had smaller room, both with huge balconies and views. Very clean, comfortable beds, spotless bathroom, all the amenities you need, nice modern decor. Rooms were cleaned daily with change of towels and replenishment of fridge and bathroom stuff. The hotel has small spa area with sauna, special massage area, outside pool with beds and bar. We did not use any, only took a short dip in a pool, as it was hot (pool not heated) We would stay here again in the near future as we would definately come back to Split and will recommend to our friends. The things I liked about this hotel include:||1. Friendly and attentive staff|2. Good location to walk to and from the port / main centre |3. Room is well presented |4. Hotel smells lovely and is clean throughout |5. The hot tub on our balcony was a fabulous way to spend time and enjoy the view||What I didn’t like about the hotel: ||1. There is building work happening outside of the hotel at present. Being woken by the noise of JCBs and workmen at 8am in the morning is not ideal. We should’ve been warned about this disruption before we arrived. |2. If you like a hard bed, this hotel is for you. I don’t so it wasn’t to my liking|3. We had a couple of maintenance issues. The plug didn’t work in our room and despite one repair, it immediately broke again. The solution given was not to use the plug and use the other sink instead.
