Service was hot and cold. We were met by a girl who was actually leaving as her shift was over but she took time to get us a table. All down hill after that. A male server took our order. I had the classic burger. I asked what came on it and was told lettuce tomato and burger sauce. I asked could I just get onions and cheese and nothing else. He said I couldn't get cheese on the burger for some reason. I said I'd have with just onions so and could I have ketchup on the side. Drinks were one coke and a large water for me. Drinks arrived but he brought no glass for me so said he would get one. 5 mins later he was serving another table and I had to get his attention to actually bring me a glass. My partner got a beef tagliatelle which was basically just a spaghetti bolognese but tasted fine. My burger came out and it had the burger sauce which I specifically said I didn't want. When I said this to same waiter he said I hadn't said I didn't want it. Every time I order a burger without fail I take time to explain that I definitely don't want any sauce on it. He didn't apologise at all and I when he finally asked if I wanted a new one he was almost annoyed. It took a good 20 mins for a replacement to come and my partner and completely finished eating with a few minutes. Again no apology when new one came. The burger itself was fine, nothing special. Aside from that we weren't even given napkins. There was no salt or pepper on the table. Not once even after the mixup with the order did the server ask us at any point if everything was OK or did we need anything.
We have been here about a week on holidays. This was literally the only time in any establishment we didn't leave a tip. We had worse food in other restaurants and still left a tip as the service was better.
I was also charged for ketchup as well which we thought was very strange.
There were kids running around the whole place as well. One even came up to our table shouting and seen no staff say anything to them or...
Read moreThe dining experience in this particular instance left much to be desired, marked by significant shortcomings. While the beverages on offer were commendable, regrettably, the quality of the food merely achieved an average standard. However, the most significant letdown of the evening was undoubtedly the service, a situation I must characterize as one of the most profoundly disappointing encounters in my extensive dining history.
To initiate, it is worth noting that an inordinate 25 minutes elapsed before a member of the staff approached our table to take our order. Subsequently, an additional 18 minutes passed before our beverages were finally served. Furthermore, there was an additional delay of 20 minutes for the arrival of the initial dish, though it is imperative to clarify that not all ordered dishes were presented during this interval.
The situation reached further inconvenience when we found ourselves waiting for the bill, which was not forthcoming. We were compelled to endure a lengthy 30-minute interval before a waiter finally acknowledged our presence. The absence of attention to our needs became even more conspicuous as we observed a group of five waitstaff engrossed in casual conversation, instead of attending to the requirements of the diners. Moreover, the waiter designated to our section exhibited a noticeable lack of courtesy and professionalism. We were left unattended for a considerable five-minute period before any staff member recognized our presence, an unfortunate lapse in the expected standards of service.
It is with profound disappointment that I, drawing upon my extensive background in the hospitality industry, must categorize this dining experience as the most subpar encounter I have ever endured.
P.S. The service was so regrettably slow that I found myself with ample time to rewrite this message three times while waiting...
Read moreMy Wife and I looked forward to dinner here as the atmosphere at the outside tables looked amazing. We booked in for the following evening as it was too busy that night for a walk in.
Once again, the atmosphere outside is great, nice soft lighting and very cozy and private with lovely views.
That's where the good parts end unfortunately.
I ordered the pork skewers with bacon and my wife ordered the swordfish steak. Both meals were not cheap, €18 and €28 euro respectively with sides that were another €7 euro each. But these were some of the cheaper meals on the menu surprisingly.
My Pork skewers were lovely, well seasoned and the smoky flavour off the grill was amazing, the portion size was decent too, with my fries i didn't feel hungry after eating.
However my wives Swordfish steak was awful, unseasoned and extremely fishy. We've never eaten this fish so wasn't sure what to expect but after about 2 bites, she couldn't stomach anymore. The waiter took the meal away but refused to take it off the bill, meaning her fries and salad cost her €42 euro, just lovely..
This is also the point where the waiter became impossible to find, he didn't come back for atleast 15 minutes, meaning if she wanted to order something different, it was too late as I had already eaten all of my food and finished our drinks. He then disappeared for a further 20 minutes, while not glancing in our direction every time I tried to get the bill..
Overall this disappointing evening cost us €82 and made sure we would...
