Nevera Tavern — Restaurant in Grad Split

We were there last night and still feel crushed by the food.

The waiter was sooo arrogant and incompetent - we waited at the front counter for a free seat which was ok. But the only thing he could do was grin ironically at us as we walked by and stall guests who were ready to be seated for over 30 minutes. I felt uncomfortable from the beginning and said to my husband "they are acting strange - give me the feeling they don't want us as guests here".

The food was a disaster. We got macaroni and risotto with prawns (which were barely visible). Not to mention the taste. Finally, our drinks were on the table. My husband drank a Schweppes, which I noticed had been expired for months.

Despite our niceness, the waiter got a little tip and we pointed out to him that the drink had expired. He looked at it and said we were wrong and it was the label 😂 he laughed at us and wanted to leave. I told him he didn't need to overplay it, it was a fact that it had expired! So he took his tip, insisted it wasn't expired and left. Without any apology or anything. Zero unprofessionalism.

The toilets were also totally filthy and all the equipment was full of cobwebs - maybe because there was not a single woman in the team.

Conclusion: The worst dinner in Croatia. They don't deserve any stars. They sell pickled prawns from the metro as fresh catch. Because it was terrible, we didn't take any photos 😂sorry.

For even less money, we can recommend the following restaurant "Zlatna Ribica" in...

At first, the place seems quite old(the décoration is bases around the theme OF Fischer), and the waiter had à quite sharp tone. But when we tried to choose, the waiter was quite patient and kind to advise us gently on the menu. One OF my friend had some allergies, and the waiter tried to accomodate the menu list with her inconvenience, with some restraint on his side. One OF the waiter Who brought our food had queen sense OF humour, so we tried to ignore the sharp tone OF the ôter waiter. We ordered the gnocchi with smoked ham and shrimps and the risotto with shrimps. It was absolutely divine. The paste on the gnocchi was perfectly done and the flavor OF the ham was in complète harmony with the gnocchi; the shrimps was Also good. The risotto was nicely done, but there was no comparison with the gnocchis. We Also took à side dishes OF grilled vegetables, which turned out to be succulent: the vegetables were indeed grilled, à little bit crispy on the edge and slightly soft on the inside (and not burned as you often see on some poor restaurant) and the oil was in sufficient quantity, Just enough to have the juicy sensation when you bite them. Combined together you have à great dishes OF vegetables, that accomodate any dishes. And "cerises sur le gâteau", the price were affordable (90 kuna for the gnocchis, 90 kuna for risotto, and 25 kuna for the vegetables). I recommand greatly this Nice and comfy restaurant, I hope you have à good...

We started by asking our friendly waiter for recommendations and he mentioned their first class fish or catch of the day or the saefood pot. But as I was allerigc to crustaceans and the fish was big we opted for some pasta instead. So far so good

We finihsed our pasta, which was just average but was still a bit hungry. I told the same waiter that we had a little more room, how about something small to add? He then brought me to the counter and recommended me some fish. These were 1kg+ fish that could feed 3-4 hungry adults. I asked for something small! Then I told him that these are too big mabye some appetizer? He then just responded rudely "I don't know" and walked away and left me hanging in the front desk

Then it became clear to me that the whole time he was pushing us to have the most expensive dish in the restaurant and by the time he noticed that we weren't gona bite he decided he had enough and showed his true rude self.

Then we got the bill and he asked if I wanted to leave a bit. His friendliness disappeared and said everything in "poilte words but impatient and rude tone" and made us feel pressured into leaving something.

On top of this the food weren't even that good and quite pricey. Would...
