Honestly the worst food experience we had in Croatia! We visited this place based on Google reviews. As they brought the starter we were already a little disappointed with the flavours. The Greek salad was warm, cucumber was definitely not fresh and the octopus salad was bland. Little did we know what is coming up next. Cevapcici was dry, fish and potatoes and chard completely flavourless. We also ordered traditional Croatian stew - it tasted funky, sour and the meat was chewy. The worst dish however were grilled scampi that were still raw inside. After mentioning this to the waiter he said "What do you want me to do about it? This how we cook it." We got a full refund for the stew however we were charged HALF of the price for scampi, even though we only ate one after realizing it was still raw inside, we returned the dish back for the cook to put it back on grill or for them to give us a new dish. Please save yourself some time, money and nerves and find go find another restaurant to have dinner at. This place doesn't even deserve one star!!

My boyfriend and I visited during our quick stop in Split. We arrived loaded with three bags, and the waiters immediately offered us an ideal spot. Apart from water and iced tea, we both ordered medium-well baby steak. The only variation was in our sides — grilled vegetables (which they had no problem modifying) and fries (which originally come with the steak). Meanwhile, I visited the bathroom, which wasn’t as pleasant as I expected, and the door was quite transparent. Nevertheless, the service was very quick. However, I definitely noticed a difference between my steak and my boyfriend’s. His was cooked exactly as it should have been, while mine was slightly undercooked for medium-well — though I still enjoyed it because it was juicier. I also had a smaller but thicker piece. The grilled vegetables were okay, but I expected something a bit more special. On the other hand, I found the fries great — an ideal side for a steak. Prices are in line with the Croatian market.

Lola in Split is a delightful dining experience that should not be missed. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, perfect for a romantic dinner or a casual meal with friends. The food is simply outstanding. My partner's steak was cooked to perfection, tender and flavorful. I opted for the lamb, which was incredibly succulent and full of rich taste. To top it off, we indulged in the homemade cheesecake and lemon tiramisu, both of which were absolutely divine. The service was impeccable. Our waiter was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. The house red wine was a pleasant surprise. It was smooth, well-balanced, and offered great value for the price. In fact, the entire menu was a testament to excellent value. The quality of the food, service, and atmosphere far exceeded the cost. If you're looking for a memorable dining experience in Split that won't break the bank, Lola is a must-visit.

Everything started perfectely, we were 7 to eat and came on a busy sunday night, the server installed us on a reserved table like it was ours. Servers were funny and for once were speaking english. We ordered all bunch of things and the food was actually better than most of restaurants in Split. I was about to think of a 5 stars but the whole mood changed when we had to pay the bill. The server told us we couldn't pay separately, which is understandable, as long as it is said politely. The problem here was that the server started giving attitude + saying we had to precise it BEFORE ordering. Which is obviously completely wrong; no country does that. We started to debate with the server, who started to give more attitude and was watching away, to show us it was how it was working and there was nothing we could do about it. So we had to check the bill, pay the whole bill on a single credit card, then we had to deal with it at home. No comprehension, no other choices was given, they just don't care as long as we pay and we don't talk. This country is by far the worst in terms of tourism and when it comes to pay the bills. Every restaurant does what they want without caring about anything else as long as they take your money at the end. Could be 4 or 5...

Unfortunately we couldn't even try the food, we were there twice there and each time the owner told us, that they were fully booked although there were many tables available. One evening we came unusually early, at around 07:00 PM, there were many tables available outside, but the owner said, they were all reserved and that because of the wind there were no "reserved" signs on the tables. Now comes the best: I asked him if we can make a reservation for later the same evening and he replied, that he's not making any reservations, people have to wait at the restaurant itself for a table... So what now, is he taking reservations or not??? Then he offered us to sit inside where it was very hot and loud music was playing, even there we could not have the table we wanted, although there was one available with no reservation sign on it - maybe because of the strong wind inside 🤪🤣🤪🤣??? The owner made us feel, that he is picking very carefully his clients and that his restaurant is not open...
