We booked for new year eve, and we did it quite late,so was not many places free. We and one more couple want it to escape the town and spend the night in between years at some traditional restaurant in the mountain area. We reserved that and need accommodation so we found Ekali hotel one of the very few that still had empty rooms in Kakopetria.... then we understand Why...|The hotel NEED renovation, is falling apart. Now I feel sorry that I didn’t take pictures of the sealing of our room 402. It was full of mold and paint was coming off the sealing. The bathroom was very bad looking and lucky that my wife had the inspiration to take our towels from home. The windows were single glazed and was quite cold in the room, plus one of them was not opening...| The breakfast was Very poor and not tasty. | The staff was smiling, even when they try to enter our room without knocking at the door, to check if we left or Not. | I DO WANT to Ad here that, the owner of the hotel is like always around at reception and trying to make conversation with clients, but not in a very nice way, sticking his nose in your life, and then coming up with rude comments... VERY ANNOYING.| Totally Not Recommending. | We will stay away from that place, and hope this will help...
Read moreThis hotel was an utter nightmare.Firstly, the bathroom wall was covered with black mold and the window which was above the shower was open , allowing the cold to get inside. Not only that, but the bathroom door was broken and wouldn't close all the way. Also, the light switch for the toilet was two meters away from the toilet. When I complained to the owner about this situation he simply blew me off and he did the same to other clients. There was only one wall socket in a room for three people and it was for the TV(which we didn't have a remote for). The whole room was dirty , covered in dust and there were burnt cigarette remains in the drawers. You could feel the springs under the bed and the covers were thin and old.In the closet there was only one extra pillow covered in dust as well. The food was very poor, definetely not what you would expect from a hotel. All in all the room seemed old and forgotten , and the owner was straight-up sarcastic , ironic and rude.Although the other rooms were at least clean I still don't recommend...

Simply unacceptable....and then you charge extra for plan b heating...this is too much...Cyprus Tourism Organisation will be informed as well.....and by the way this "hotel" needs serious and extensive renovation...it is...
