Nagaş Hotel — Hotel in Lefkoşa Türk Belediyesi

I couldn’t begin to describe how awful this hotel is. It starts with a lobby filled with a group of young boys playing board games around the clock. One of them seemed to be in charge, which was odd.

The initial “misunderstanding” arose when they attempted to charge us for the room once again, even though we had already paid through an online reservation. They claimed there were changes in their accounts, leaving us uneasy right from the start.

To make matters worse, they assigned us a room that was filled with trash, unmade beds, and a filthy bathroom. After complaining, they moved us to another room, but this time there were inadequate towels and soap. Adding to the discomfort, during our short time in the room, they attempted to enter our room on two separate occasions and called us multiple times. Their persistence only ceased when we left the room to express our frustration at the reception.

Furthermore, the Wi-Fi signal barely reached the room.

The next morning was even more dreadful as we found ourselves without electricity or water.

If you’re looking to have a terrible experience in Nicosia, this hotel is the perfect choice. I cannot recommend it whatsoever, and I hope my review serves as a warning to fellow travelers about what they might expect if they decide...

We reserved a room over the phone yesterday morning and told them specifically that we’d be landing around 10pm. I made all the payments over the phone too. We arrived a bit later than planned because the flight was delayed. When we got to the hotel the receptionist (who only speaks English ironically in a Turkish speaking country), looked at us like he wasn’t expecting us. He made us wait over half an hour and after speaking with the owner it was clear the room wasn’t even ready! The receptionist himself kept us waiting whilst he tried to ‘clean’ the room himself. I’ve never witnessed such a disgraceful management in my life. It got to 1am and still no room. We managed to find the receptionist and saw the state of the room and said enough is enough. We travelled from the early hours of the morning from Turkiye, extremely exhausted and dying for sleep. We ended up having to get in our rental car and find another hotel which as you can appreciate at that time of night is near impossible as not one hotel answered their phones. This hotel completely ruined the start of our holiday, displaced us and at the early hours of the morning. Absolutely disgraceful. Please stay clear. I should’ve listened to the bad reviews before...
