This is possibly my absolute favourite now for a cosmopolitan brunch and coffee with an amazing view in Cyprus and definitely in Limassol. Staying in the area we were strolling along the promenade and came across this fabulous place. Almost understated from the road side when we turned the corner to go inside and surrounding seaside outside dining areas they were very contemporary, comfortable and choice of shade or sun literally right on the sea! Needed the loo and this was my first 100% as it was extremely clean, functional and pleasant to use, unlike many I could mention and thank goodness not up a horrendous spiral staircase!! Just a few steps down to it! I have to skip some fabulous bars in Limassol as the spiral staircases are frightening to climb and even worse to come down! But I am 70 so don’t listen to me! Anyway, I digress! Columbia Pier did not disappoint in fact it got top marks all round! Service 100%, Coffee (Americano and Flat White) 100%, p.s. so hard to find a decent Flat White in Cyprus, why do I get a latte in a cup 😂 Anyway, again I digressed! Decided to stay for brunch / breakfast which again got 100%, it is served until 11 and we were lucky to get their in time, it all smelt and looked first class and the place was filling up with mainly locals, always a good sign, plus a few tourists like us, although we live in Cyprus but we’re here for a break. I had the French Breakfast, Poached Eggs Benedict with Bacon and Hollandaise Sauce with a fresh side salad and my husband had the English which surpassed any he has had in a Cyprus! Not that I encourage the deviation from local food but hey, they had Greek, Belgium and Italian as well as the French breakfast I had too so on this occasion I encouraged his yearn for a sausage and fried eggs and what a proper sausage it was too and both our meals were delicious. The ambience and music playing softly in the background with the sea splashing below us was so memorising and relaxing. The weather for mid November was amazing, the view of the ships, yachts and those making the most of the late summer in the sea made for a really relaxing hour and just the tonic we needed! Plus, very very reasonably priced and service and attention to detail excellent. Another good reason for coming back...
Read moreIt was 11:30on a Tuesday- we had to wait for a table.. Luckily we were first in line.. But one young lady came and gave some smiles and ‘important ‘ attitude to one of the guys - manager or smth and he told the hostes to give her the first available table- even though she was third on the list..The hostes is polite and tries her best but this was not cool.. We were then sat ‘inside’ although it was right by the water and it was a nice table- parts were closed and people are allowed to smoke there- which spoils the whole atmosphere - nobody wants to leave a restaurant stinking like an ashtray.. It was my daughter and me- we tried the Pier sandwich and the burrata chicken salad- and jasmin tea.. It was all very nice and tasty.. Crispy and fresh.. Service was good although the waiter seems a bit lost- but I guess it was busy and everyone has an off day sometimes.. Since its near our home - we will probably be back.. And hope things improve the longer the place...
Read moreWe have been coming to this location Enarios pier for over 10 years. Loved the location but it also offered very friendly hospitality. The menu was limited but more than made up in quality of service and welcome. The friendly welcome is gone now. The place is teeming with staff but no one make eye contact. Service was totally impersonal and that should have alarmed us. We ordered food and wine. The red wine by the glass was no more than a few spoonfuls. We complained that it was just one sip of wine. They added some more drops of wine and brought the glass back. The Falafel plate was stale and lukewarm. We left sad and disappointed despite a glass of complementary wine served when we were almost ready to leave. Whoever is managing this place needs to go to some Cypriot run Taverns and Pubs and experience what authentic Cypriot hospitality is. I will be happy to invite the management out and show them what they...
