Hotel Garni Na Havlíčku — Hotel in okres Kutná Hora

Per Rick Steve's recommendation, we stayed two nights here in Kutna Hora. What a great town to "recharge" our batteries between Vienna and Prague. In one day you can see everything, and everything is beautiful. Kutna Hora has two of the four cathedrals in Czechia. ||The Garni Hotel is located at the center of town, just 10 minute walk to the Cathedral of St. Barbara. Although the room was small, with twin beds, it was clean and very comfortable. We had Room #2, with a view onto a small park with a statue. Personnel were so friendly and accommodating. Stayed for just one night on a Saturday night in mid-July. ||Positives: Nice clean economical place in the middle of the old town and within walking distance to most of everything. The room had a fridge and a good quality breakfast was included in the room rate.||Negatives: There isn't anything by way of air conditioning or ventilation and it was rather stuffy on a hot summer evening. One can open a window, but then you get exposed to the noise of the square outside. I booked this hotel but had to cancel because an other hotel on our trip cancelled on us. They didn’t allow to cancen free of charge, so okay. I rearranged the date so my parents could stay here. When they wanted to pay the guy at the front desn said it was already taken care of. They just deducted the money from my credit card on the date we originally were going to stay there!! THIS IS NOT OKAY. You can NOT just keep money from a credit card without letting the owner know.
