Hotel (3/5): was ok but I would not say 4 Star Hotel. Reception (1/5): kind and helpful but she fooled us. I asked about the rate that was behind her on monitor and she explained that everywhere the exchange is with commission and hotel has the best rate. Anyhow, although I knew that hotels do not have a good rate, I trusted her because they were our host and I thought they care about us. I told to my wife that I do not trust this rate let us change a little money. Anyhow, when we were walking to the city center, I saw that 90% of the exchanges were with no commission and the rate of the 95% of the echnages were better than the hotel. Even in most populated tourist places the rates were better! Room (4/5): we had standard large bed and it was fine qnd comfortable. Safe was too small. Location (2/5): walking 20’ to the very first point of the old town. With train it takes 10-15’ There are 2 or 3 bars close to the Hotel and you cannot sleep with window open during the night. Cleaness (5/5): very clean and the house keeping in the first floor was extrimly kind! Could not speak a word in english but I could speak to her with signs ;) Breakfast (4/5): brief but good selection of...
Read moreDefinitely NOT an official 4-star hotel. Very misleading to be advertising as such. It's more in the range of a 2 star hotel, a bit like an ibis hotel (which is 2 star), so this place is very overpriced for a 2 star. The walls are VERY thin too, you can hear everything from the water pipes, TV to someone coughing. Also it's extremely noisy in the streets during Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. The hotel reception is closed after 7pm, I've stayed at many hotels but not once have I come across one that claims to be 4 star yet not have 24hrs onsite reception. Standard small rooms, basic amenities, no toiletries like a real 4 star (you have to request at reception when they're open), breakfast is very basic and small. However the rooms are clean, location is close enough to city centre by public transport which takes around 10-15mins journey time. If you just want a very basic place to stay and you're a heavy sleeper then this place may be ok for you (although overpriced compared to other similar hotels in this comfort range), but unfortunately I was very disappointed and felt slightly played since I was expecting a...
Read moreI've been sleeping in many better * hotels and I would never guess that this one is ** rated. Good breakfast, decent standard, but not large selection of choice. Very clean bathroom, comfortable beds, but dirty stained carpets... The worst problem is noise. If you have windows on the street, there is a bar with loud guests up to 5am. And early in the morning there are noisy kids going to nearby school. You can't close windows because of no air condition in room, only loud mobile fan. Also hotel staff woke us at 7am making noise with metal bars on the reception desk and starting work with vacuum cleaners... 7am on the weekend. Location is pretty good, 5min walking to the tram station and 5 stops to the city center. Comparing the price with location and facilities, I wouldn't choose this place...
