Restaurace Spirit Bar — Restaurant in Prague

Very poor beer options for a Czech restaurant. 'Rezane' beer is tasty, but very dissapointing - instead if having nice, two levels of different beer visible, it came mixed. Appetizer Hermelin was quite good, the bread that came with it was really delicious, though it didn't really look 'homemade', as they claim. Smazony Syr was way too salty, just as the fries, that came with it, and it looked grayish as if having been frozen, maybe more than once. Beef cheeks were quite tasty, the sauce was ok, but the mashed potatoes given with it were absolutely disgusting. Gray, clearly made from very old potatoes, stiff as a wallpaper glue and smelling like a dirty, old, wet floor mop so strongly, I had to cover them up with a napkin. Plot_twist Waiter was pretty clearly drunk. He spilled the beer on the table(and my belongings laying there as well) and ignored it - my family had to wipe it themselves. He also lost his balance taking one of the pates from our table. He was drinking beer when we ate and was clearly very occupied with it. Enough, to forget to ever come and check on our table, but when it later came to paying, he fortunately was able to regain his full(ish) consciousness for long enough to ask for the tip. I guess that if you just want to watch the match and eat some Hermelin with an OK beer, that's a good place to do so. Eat dinner...

My girlfriend asked the waitress for vegan food and ordered the shrimp and apple salad. When the salad arrived we found that it's with yogurt and therefore it's not vegan, the waitress apologized and said that we'll receive a new dish. When the "new" salad arrived we found yogurt dressing leftovers beneath the washed salad! We asked to return the salad since the kitchen didn't do a great job at washing it and again she apologized and took it back. When we finished eating we saw that we were billed for this washed non vegan half water half yogurt salad, and when we said that we aren't going to pay for this the bar manager started to argue and said that it's not so expensive and that he is not responsible for what we eat or not, only after a long loud argue he gave up and agreed to remove the salad from the bill. Our recommendation is to find a place with better service...

They treat foreign visitors (especially non-white) with total contempt, agree with the other comment about racism, completely bizarre treatment if you dare try to order at the bar, expect to be rudely bossed around, then when you go to the outdoor seating area (assuming they are telling you it's table service only) you will be angrily lectured about not drinking outside (it was 9.45 and we hadn't even been served), then given a stern talking to about not smoking inside (we had no intention of doing so) and then threatened that you will be fined if you transgress these rules. All before you've even ordered a drink! The woman running the bar was horrible, very antagonistic with zero provocation whatsoever. It wasn't busy and we were polite and friendly, but got treated like scum. Never go here, it will ruin...
