Our stay here was okay. I wouldn’t say this is a 5 star hotel, maybe 2/3 star. It’s not the nicest hotel I have stayed in. Me and my partner arrived late at night our flight didn’t get in until around 11pm. When we arrived we were told that our booking was only for 1 person not 2. I booked a package holiday through love holidays, so I am not entirely sure if this is the fault of the hotel or the booking company. The guy at the desk whose name was Sasha was friendly, he helped us out and only had us waiting a few moments while he checked. We got into our room and on my booking it said superior double room, but there were no double beds. They said they only do single beds. I understood this as in some European countries they do not have double beds, but why say superior double if it is two singles? My boyfriend went down to ask and Sasha helped us he came up to our room and moved things around to make it a double. Unfortunately, there was a significant amount of dust and dirt under the beds, old food and crumbs. This made me uneasy straight away and made me question the hygiene standards. Throughout our stay I found that I felt uneasy about the hygiene in the rooms quite a lot which did not mean I had a relaxing stay which you’d expect from a 4 star rated hotel. The bed was changed once, but not the pillow cases. The first night I got a little makeup on mine and it was there the entire week. The room was not modern, the tv didn’t work, it had two English channels, one was the news and one was a football/telesales channel. This was disappointing. The shower was questionably clean, with hair in the drain one of the nights that hadn’t been taken out or cleaned, (it was blonde/grey) - me and my partner both brunettes. The shower also had not been well cleaned in a long time because there was a lot of brown marks around the grout and tiles. The shower also because it was probably clogged did not drain away. So we had to turn the shower off every few seconds to let it drain or it overflowed out on to the bathroom floor. Although the shower was very warm and made it nice when coming in from the cold, I also felt uneasy and wore sliders inside. The carpet in our room was questionable clean with a lot of stains from people who had previously stayed. I think this hotel is okay if you are going to have a budget holiday, if you are going for a nice relaxing stay, book somewhere else, closer and pay special attention to the reviews. It is also quite far from the centre, although there are trams outside that can get you in fast. Despite the fact that the staff were very friendly, accommodating and kind to us, which made me give the two stars. I would not stay here again. The cleanliness, convenience and facilities...
Read moreWell for the price 130€ for two nights it's cheap and in great location as it's close to everything. The downside is that it's old hotel, very outdated interior. Our room was hostel like one. TV, fridge didn't work. Windows were sealed with plastic due to fasade renovation/air tight. Air conditioning was there bud sadly no remote controller and no-one knew where it is. Plastering next to air con was falling down and spider web next to it was there since Boris Jelcin was in a Prague... anyway Due to thAt air was unbreathable and we had to cut hole in a plastic on a window to not suffocate. Cleanliness was questionable ...first room cleaning ended interestingly as cleaning lady Gaga took almost whole toilet paper 🧻 from the toilet away and left us with none! Can you imagine surprise while seating on a toilet expecting to have something to whipe with after cleaning services been there...sadly nope. Another hit came when that crazy women took also soap from bathroom...just like that. Also took towels and left two people with one big one and one for hands and one for floor. No Idea what went through her mind that day. Obviously we complained and receptionist assured us that in 5 min will sort it out. In s mean time she forgot what room was it and was knocking on wrong door! When we came out and told her that staff is for us she was like go back it's not for you ... obviously another clever employee. At least she managed to get toilet paper and soap but NO TOWELS in whole hotel!!! Guess what...she brought an used/dirty from make up! No comments on her intelligence. Ok bathroom...looks renovated but as expected but som wannabe handyman. Shower is all twisted so if you shower all water is coming out and it's looks like aquapark in there. Shower head holder holds only on good word there ... barely holding himself. Bed was very old but 2 nights it was ok compare to other things. Hotel doesn't have own carpark so street parking 🅿️ only obviously paid for by ourselves. Receptionist had no idea how it works and where to buy tickets which can be bit tricky if you are not local and you have to figure it out. Restaurant and bar not checked but we think that is why we still here so...Also when we came back late night and you take stairs light doesn't come on on a stairs so you walk in darkness not knowing what's where... ridiculous and unsafe! Can't recommend unless you are cheap skate who lived before in a box on a street. No offence. Pay little bit more and get proper hotel. O pop and by the way they apparently have 4* ...don't know who rated it but...
Read moreThis hotel is located just outside of Prague's city centre, with easy access as the tram to the city is right on your doorstep, and the tram coming back is on the other side of the road... Takes no more than a 10 minute ride. There are plenty of convenience stores and bars nearby, I would say more suited to the locals than tourists, this for me is a plus as it's quieter with your party goers likely making their way into Prague instead. The hotel is maintained very well throughout, it's very clean and tidy, and the receptionist was brilliant for providing guidance and advice for our outings, they'll also give you a map and show you anything you may need help getting to (localities, transport routes, good cheap places to eat etc). The room was modern, bed's weren't very comfortable, and curtains didn't properly stop the lighting outside from coming in at night. The TV had channels in various languages, but signal wasn't too good on around half of them. There's not too much noise during the night, it's more likely because the hotel is out of the centre, but you would hear the train coming by on the tracks opposite, which wasn't often. The hotel was bed and breakfast, so to start your morning there was a small selection of cereals, breads, fruit and yogurt, and (greasy) potato wedges, what seemed like tinned veg carrots, peas, and sweetcorn, and a variety of hot and cold drinks to choose from. There's plenty of seating but the dining area is narrow and sometimes challenging to manoeuvre your way back and forth to the food. The hotel has a restaurant that occupies a section of its ground floor (I think it's separate to the hotel and maybe the space is rented), this does offer restaurant standard meals and a variety of drinks (alcoholic/non-alcoholic and hot drinks), all the staff I met were very fluent in their use of English, and credit to the cleaners every morning they would smile and wish you a good day in a genuine manner. Overall is good for the money I paid to go, is budget friendly, located in a quieter area, and has easy access to Prague's centre (oh and there's a lidls nearby if you want cheap food and drink for when you get back). Would consider staying at this hotel...
