Me and my boyfriend booked this hotel for 2 weeks, so I think we have a pretty good idea of what the experience is like. Service is exceptional and people are very nice and attentive. The first week was good, the second week was outstanding. We had the privilege of becoming somewhat regulars and loyalty does pay off in this place. In the morning I was greeted by my name and they brought me a cappuccino without ordering one, sometimes on the house. My boyfriend had the same treatment with his fresh pineapple juice. Food is good, we tried most of the menu by this point. One of the days, one of the servers suggested that they can organize a romantic dinner for us by the pool and we quickly agreed. They moved one of the tables in the shallow part of the pool and had a few lights around it. Unusual was the first thought that came to mind when we saw it, but after experiencing the dinner, memorable replaced it! The service was impeccable and the chef had put a special menu together for the occasion. Everything was unparalleled, unsurpassed and it created a beautiful memory that we will both treasure for life. Let me paint a clearer picture, for anyone that needs it, our relationship is nowhere near at proposal stage, but we both thought and talked about it because of the picturesque experience AC Punta Cana created. One in a lifetime. We choose this hotel because All Inclusive doesn't suit us as travelers. We like experiences and not repeated monotony and this hotel was the perfect for what we needed. Rooms are small, but very clean and comfortable. We didn't spend much time in there so it wasn't an important aspect for us to begin with. The hotel as a whole is very very clean, immaculate comes to mind. Our only issue was with the housekeepers for the rooms, often times they would forget to replace items, which wasn't great, but it didn't take away from our experience here. If you want to come to Punta Cana and you are not a fan of All Inclusive, I couldn't recommend this place enough. Also, if you are here, order the Passion...
Read moreI am writing to bring attention to serious issues I experienced during my stay that compromised both my privacy and safety, as well as the overall quality of service. Privacy Violation: Shortly after checking in, a staff member entered my room without knocking or announcing themselves. The music I was playing should have made it clear the room was occupied. This breach of privacy left me feeling extremely uncomfortable. Unprofessional Handling of Do Not Disturb: I placed a “Do Not Disturb” sign on my door for privacy. Despite this, I received three knocks at 10 PM from housekeeping, followed by two calls and a passive-aggressive message implying that I should not request service if I used the sign. My service request had been clearly scheduled for the following morning, but there was no acknowledgment or apology for the disruption. Lack of Basic Amenities and Mismanagement: Upon check-in, I discovered my room lacked basic amenities such as washcloths, hand towels, and soap. When I raised this concern, management blamed me for having a “Do Not Disturb” sign on my door at 10pm three nights later and falsely claimed to have video evidence of used wash cloths being removed during servicing. This was untrue, as only trash, pillowcases, and sheets were removed. I was present during the service and i saw what was taken from the room. These incidents reflect a disturbing lack of respect for guest privacy, poor communication, and unprofessional conduct. Furthermore, the rooms themselves are poorly insulated, with thin walls that make every conversation in adjacent rooms and hallways audible—an ongoing source of discomfort throughout my stay. I have attached photos of the condition of my “fully cleaned” room to illustrate the substandard service. This experience has left me feeling unsafe, disrespected, and deeply dissatisfied. I would not recommend this...
Read more** This review is only for the rooms and lobby. I did not get a chance to check out the gym or any of the food.
I THINK this is a brand new location. Either way, the hotel is lovely. The lobby smells incredible. The decor is modern and bright and very clean. We dealt with two different front desk staff member Wil and P Salas. They were both very friendly and lovely.
The room is minimal, but very clean. We had a king size with a view of the pool. The shower is one of the ones with no door, so if you don't like that you might be unhappy. But I loved it! I'd say the rooms are in between. small and medium. Perfect for sleeping, but if you want to hang out in the room more than you want to be out, then you may not enjoy the size.
The bed was firm, not plush. The AC works well though. We were nice and cool as we slept.
The only complaint I have is that the tvs don't come with Netflix or allow you to connect your own HDMI so you can watch shows from your computer. This is a very specific complaint though and it definitely not a make or break.
We did peek at the breakfast the morning we checked out and it looked delicious, but I cannot vouch for the quality.
It's very close to the mall, and the ubers in the area range from $2 to $5 USD. It is NOT walking distance to the beach, and I wouldn't recommend walking anywhere besides the mall. There aren't a lot of sidewalks so you'll be walking in the street if you do decide to walk somwhere.
Also, outside of the hotel, the locals do NOT speak English. Not even a little bit. So be sure to have your translator app handy if you don't speak Spanish.
Overall if you are planning to stay in Punta Cana and not on a resort, I would...
