Caribbean Lake Park — Attraction in Higüey

UNDISCOVERED GEM!!! By far one of the best excursions out there! My fiancé wakeboards back in the states and when I was booking our vacation over a year ago I landed on this place. I did some research and it will still new and I wasn’t sure what to think. The website gave a lot of information and I couldnt say better things about it. 100% the best part of our vacation so far. We travel a lot and have been on excursions where you feel like you are being cattled by the massive amount and of people. When you book on the website transportation from your hotel is included. They were on time and got us here right before 11am. From 11 until 1:30 there were only about 10 people in the entire park! What was extremely awesome was that it seems like they give you your own little “tour guide” that goes around and makes sure you do all the activities, teaches you how to wakeboard before you go onto the big track, and just helps you get back on the inflatables! Another thing that was awesome was the fact that if you want to just relax that have a big pool area that over looks the wakeboarding so you can just relax or watch the others while they wakeboard! I would come back over and over again if I could. The food at the restaurant was so much better than our all inclusive.

What a fantastic experience! You get a lot for your money, and the employees are so helpful and friendly. We did the buggies and the aquakarts. Included with that is a ride on the zip line and unlimited rides on the hotdog raft. So much fun! Highly recommend. We went on a Friday afternoon and it was like we were the only ones there. The photographer was awesome, he got some great shots. The photo package was a little pricy but it was worth it because the pictures were so great! We booked thru the JetBlue vacations guy at the hotel and the shuttle to and from was included. It’s right next door to the dolphin experience. I suggest doing the afternoon session because you are continuously in the sun and even in the afternoon it was really hot. Bring towels and sunscreen, money for tips, cash for the photos (they take cards but prefer cash), and water shoes or crocs. They provide free lockers. The water is super clean, fresh water; I wasn’t afraid to fall in. This experience is great for all ages. The shuttle from the hotel was at 1:40 and from the park at 5:40. So about 4 1/2 hours altogether and...

The place is beautiful, the staff is very friendly and helpful, everything is awesome, but there's something that needs to be fixed. LINES ARE ABSURDLY LONG! Why, if there are 5 people to do wakeboarding, one has to wait for 20+ minutes? Sometimes we felt not too far from the start and had to wait too long. Why? It amazes me how I started wakeboarding, went 5 times, failed them all, and still had to wait for so long. The people in front of me looked discouraged. Not because of falling, but because of the nonchalant way the staff work. Friendly, but not very competent. 2 hours of being in a line, and 30 in the water is not worth the money. ONLY 5...
