Lolita Restaurante — Restaurant in Higüey

First and foremost, they do not speak English in this restaurant. Not even a little. They DO have English menus, but if you do not speak Spanish, you will have to point at what you want.

I wish we could have tried everything on the menu!

We ordered the Chicken Croquettes as a starter and they were DELICIOUS. Well seasoned, perfectly breaded and a beautiful presentation. You get 4 balls. Lovely.

My husband ordered the beef burger. He said it was delicious. It looked really good. The fries were good, as well. Not super salty and then the ketchup they served with the fried seemed to be some sort of sweet sauce. It was in between ketchup and bbq sauce.

I ordered the chicken burger and it was seasoned SO WELL! I'd order it again. Other things on the menu I wanted to try were the Paella and the desserts, but we were stopping in for lunch and both of those items were just too heavy for the time.

They do not serve tap water here so if you ask for water it will be bottled.

If you find yourself in Punta Cana and not on a resort, I HIGHLY recommend stopping by this place. The waitstaff and chef are so friendly and the ambiance is nice! It could be a date spot or just a spot to go with friends.

We found this hidden gem near the Airbnb we were staying. It is near the downtown marketplace and for convenience this one has its own parking space! We are always very cautious where we eat for dinner and always read everyone's google reviews and this one is no exception. When we came inside we were greeted with full pleasure and the table setting looks very elegant. We first ordered the Croquette Garlic Chicken and it was phenominal! Our main dish was the Land and Sea Paella, which was served still on the cooking pan for authentic experience. The presentation of the Paella was beautiful and the taste was also phenominal and delicious! Overall, this is a very authentic experience for us and we had enjoyed every bite of our dinner. We were so happy with this place. We pulled into an empty parking lot on a Saturday afternoon around 3:30 pm. We almost left thinking they might be closed.

We started with the Croquettas made with Soprasada. Mixed reviews at the table. We ordered the Ribeye Paella which was enough for two and it was phenomenal.
