So the people at the hotel were nice, Wi-Fi, street parking and it was right across from the beach. Those are the only positives. If you book on Expedia call the hotel and let them know. Cause we got there and they didn't have our reservation and had to throw something together at the last minute for us. We had booked a room with 2 queen beds and the pictures show what we got. It was enough since there were just three of us. However we are pretty sure this room is still being redone. They didn't have a key for it... one had to be made, No hot water in the bathroom, No dresser or anywhere else to put our things besides the floor. Also, the light in the "closet" didn't work. The beach... was dirty and crowded. However it was a beach and right across from the hotel. I wouldn't call this a family friendly area (we didn't venture out after dark) and there are a lot of people trying to sell you things or sell you massages. A/C didn't work, the fan sounded like it was going to fall from the ceiling. No lock on the inside of the door like a chain or deadbolt. Not at all like the pictures or as advertised.

The reviews were mixed, so I thought it couldn't be that bad. I was wrong. So very wrong. I spent about 7 hours here, only stayed that long because I didn't arrive until after 2am. In those hours, I napped slumped over in a chair at the dining room table. I booked for four nights, I left after those few hours. I had no idea where to go for the duration of my stay, but I knew it couldn't be there. I was fine sleeping on the beach instead of staying at that hotel. Honestly, I sat and cried myself to sleep. Maybe I'm more uppity than I thought, but I can't work hard for a vacation then stay in a place like this. Additional word of caution: there's no "relaxing beach". There's water. No sandy beach area to set up and towel and chill for a few hours. This hotel is right at the water though, so if that is ALL that matters to you, say a prayer and go for it. I couldn't.

I’ll start by saying I’ve lived in the DR for a few years and have been to many hotels and beaches here. Boca Chica smells of sewage everywhere and there is rubbish all over the beach and streets. So yea I will not be back here. The hotel however was another disaster. Booked on Expedia and paid cash at the hotel for 3 nights. Barely could stand one night. The place is filthy. No towels in the rooms and was told I would have some in 20 min and the next day still did not have any towels!?! The 2 safes I saw have all been broken into previously!?! I was woken up by cars blaring music at 6am directly in front of the hotel in their parking lot. Stayed one night and asked for a refund for the other 2 and was told it’s not posible. Yea worst experience I’ve had in 37 different countries. Beware
