Strongly do not recommend. First unpleasant experience was when manager was inebriated during check-in. As a result it took great effort and an hour to receive the correct wifi password.

Second unpleasant experience was when I was suddenly informed that I must checkout. That surprised me, as I notified the one man who was working at the place in the morning that I am extending my stay. Turns out he, the security, did not feel it important enough to pass on. So assuming a simple misunderstanding I went through the hustle of repacking all my things and switched to a different room.

Third unpleasant experience, and the one that really crossed the line (and is the reason I decided to cut my 1 week planned stay at this hotel short and to tip nothing), was when the manager began insisting to be paid right away. Again, a surprise because I offered my credit card when I was checking in. But then again, he was drunk. So I offered it again, but apparently they do not take credit cards. So now I set my direction to the nearest ATM. But the manager insisted to keep a document of mine, i.e. a passport. That is completely unacceptable for a foreign person who does not speak the language to be without their documentation in a foreign and unfamiliar country because the manager is hounding me for $40 dollars. At this point I have made the above decision (and of course did not give up my passport). I recommend anyone to think carefully about whether they wish to stay...

I recommend this place because it is in a great location in Boca chica. Close to the supermarket, places to eat cheap, main Street an clothes to the beach 🏖 too. If you are looking for luxury, this is not the place for you. This hotel is for people that wants to save money and don't plan on saying in the room a lot, because the rooms are not in the best condition. The staff was friendly, they assisted me when i requested. They have wifi and a pizza restaurant so it is convenient. They need to work on the cleaning department soon, because it is not good. The bed sheet looked like the one i use for my kids bed... i wish i had taken picture but i was in such a hurry to leave I didnt even bother...
