Don't get me wrong: The hotel is nice. It is conveniently located a few blocks away from Parque Calderón. It is very clean. Service is good, friendly and helpful. Room is tidy and comfortable. Similar to many other hotels in the area, it is formerly a pretty colonial era house.

Read moreWonderful Awesome quiet hotel in the middle of Cuenca. The staff is the best I've ever encountered at any hotel in bending over backwards to make sure the guests are happy in every way. They let me check in early, gave me lots of advice about nearby attractions and how to get around Ecuador. The owners adult children work at the front desk also and are both fantastic! Breakfast was good and they even offered to cook me scrambled eggs. If I ever needed milk for my coffee they were always quick to run upstairs and get me some. The atmosphere of this hotel is very pleasant...
