I came here with my family (6 people total). We were given 2 single rooms and 1 room with 4 beds, which was great when all of us wanted to just hang around and chill at the same time. The rooms are quite spacious and clean. They offer breakfast (buffet like) which is quite complete: fruits, juice, milk, yogurt, coffee, water, granola, cereal, nuts, pastries, cheese, ham, bread. For the eggs they ask you how would you like yours and they prepare it. They also offer some local food, for us one day was humita, another day was tortilla de maduro con queso, another day mote pillo, all part of breakfast. The receptionist was able to help us find a guide and book a tour (very helpful if it's your first time in Cuenca). Location wise, it's very close to a Supermaxi, a bunch of restaurants and it's within walking distance from Downtown (Centro histórico). I'm definitely coming back...
Read moreA little surprised at the ranking for this hotel. I wouldn't stay here if it wasn't for being on a tour. It's about 15 minute walk to anything. So the location was not really convenient.||The hotel breakfast offered what others haven't in Ecuador which is a daily special so you get to try local dishes like tamales or hominy.||The house keeping as with few places I stayed in Ecuador is pretty clueless. I need to remake the bed everyday. There were also holes in the pillow cases.||What was most annoying was the daily renovation to install smoke alarms. I did my reservation over the phone while on the go and was a breeze, William and Julio were super friendly and provided great service, breakfast was delicious and different each day of my stay.
Nice boutique hotel overall, sometimes is better to stay away from chain hotels, parking was a plus.
