The location is 15-20 minutes' walk to the historical centre of Quito. Safety can be a concern and after dark you should take a taxi, but this is normal in the entire city.|There are 6 different Wi-Fis in the hostel, but the connection can be a hit and miss sometimes.|We stayed in a room on the 3rd floor and the stairs are narrow and steep.|It can be noisy due to other guests and the way the building is constructed. We heard other people laughing, talking, watching TV and using the bathroom next to our room. |Location is pretty good with walking distance to historic centre. |Our room was with a private bathroom, hot water and good pressure, which was not always the case through Colombian part of our trip. There was a nice view of the mou trains from our window.|The place was clean throughout, staff were friendly and attentive. They spoke English and I think I hear one of them speaking French (not sure).|There's a restaurant on site, which is great if you don't want to go out; small menu and the food is simple, but really, really tasty.|Pool table, plenty of seating area and an outdoor patio inside of the building, make it a nice place for morning coffee or an afternoon beer. Read moreCarlos who was running the hotel during our visit is extremely sweet, friendly and welcoming. It is a very clean, calm and safe place and the patio is lovely to hang out. Location is ok but not perfect. Unfortunately communication was not easy since we don't speak Spanish. On the website it says that English is spoken, so that was a little minus, because we couldn't get information about the city, public transportation etc and since Quito was our first stop in Ecuador, that would have made things much easier for us. Also, the price list of the menue for the restaurant was apparently not up to date and we were charged more than we expected, after a little discussion about that, we did not have to pay the extra cost but it was still not very pleasant, since this was obviously not our fault.
