We pre-book our two night stay in Quito, because we have a late afternoon arrival, as always using booking.com it never goes wrong we used the website in all our travels and never disappointed. This hotel is very clean and well taken care ||||Accommodations are scattered around the center of Quito, from luxury to budget price. The hotel location of Villa Lafayette is in Mariscal area (La Mariscal) the tourist district where all pubs and restaurants are located a great place to stroll at night. The hotel is easy access by public transport. Buses stop near the hotel and it cost only 0.25 cent (ecovia bus)||||We took the Green public bus to Rio Cocca terminal for 2$ per person from Mariscal Sucre International Airport, and connect with taxi to the hotel for 6$. If we have no luggage we could connect to Ecovia bus for 0.25 cent, but took the taxi instead||||The hotel is in a quiet place between the residential area of Mariscal district. The exterior building looks weird you enter to a gate like a home entrance. The reception office is simple but the lobby is so beautiful and roomy. None of hotel staff speaks English, is necessary to have a basic Spanish. ||||Our room is at third floor no elevator, you'll have to carry your luggage through stairs. We're travelling light this time with small hand luggage only. The room is nice and roomy with hardwood parquet floors very clean. Curtains and beddings are in Ocher red color beautiful combination. ||||The bathroom is somewhat smaller but can't complain, it has a modern wash table and toiletries are available. A separate garderobe room with so much space. We have one king size bed the wall is beautiful decorated with some kind of art form in bottles which made in tin. The color combination of the room is perfect||||For 37 US dollar a night with free wifi overall we're very satisfied with the price. Beautiful room and location is pretty good. Friendly staff except no English spoken. Highly recommended place to stay if you wanna be near the nigthlife and to all restaurants. Going to old town with taxi cost 4$, the Mariscal main square is walkable. The hotel has restaurant too and it serves breakfast, but we...

Read moreI went with my hubbie on May 10-15Th and it was a great choice. This hotel is simple but good. It's clean, small and the people in front desk were really nice and helpful. Its location is perfect, it's very close to the "nocturnal" city center called "Plaza Foch", here are all the bars and discos. Close to the hotel is a station of the "Trolebus system" so you can go anywhere you want whenever you want and come back until 12:00am. This area is safe. We went to Plaza Foch and returned walking around 2:00am and we had no problem.||Please do not expect to find a great luxury hotel, but I really have to say that my stay...
