Downtown antique hotel — Hotel in Cairo

We were delighted to discover that our room had been upgraded to one with a balcony offering a decent view of the main street. However, our enthusiasm was short-lived, as the room proved to be extremely noisy, particularly during rush hour when the cacophony of horns and sirens became almost unbearable. We hope that in the coming days, the hotel will address this issue by installing soundproof windows maybe.

Additionally, we found the comforters provided to be too small for a double bed, requiring us to request extra bedding. This is something for couples to note as well as for the hotel to bear in mind.

Despite these issues, we appreciated the staff's exceptional warmth and hospitality. They were friendly and welcoming.

As a female solo traveler who doesn't speak Arabic and isn't religious, I spent 6 days in this hotel in January, then returned in March and stayed for another 5. If I ever revisit Egypt, I'll definitely come back here. The rooms have been clean and nice, location ideal for wandering around the city. And most importantly, the staff are amazing and welcoming, speak English well, always smiling and ready to help, never rude or asking for tips. I can't stress enough how crucial this is for a foreigner who isn't familiar with the local culture to feel safe and at home here. I had lots of concerns to book here or not due to some bad reviews but once i got into the hotel all my fears were gone i was amazed by the warm welcome from Aya and Abdo at the reception they their best just to satisfy me they offered fresh juice and fruits as welcome and then they took me to the room where it was very clean and quite also smelled very good and in the night there was marwan who helped me to order dinner and bringed to my room also many thanks to Amal who took care of me and was very attentive at the breakfast she was very generous thanks a lot for this great stay i would definitely recommend it to everyone and...
