This hotel is in a fantastic location, just a short walk from Tahrir Square and the famous Talat Harb Street, which is known for its historic architecture, bustling atmosphere, and lively shops and cafés. It’s right on the main road—just look for Primo’s Pizza, a big, fancy pizza place. The entrance to the building is right next to it.
The hotel itself is on the 5th floor, but keep in mind that only the 2nd and 3rd elevators go up to that floor. The building is quite old, but the hotel has been renovated, so inside, it’s much better than you might expect. My room was small but clean, with fresh bedsheets, quilts, towels, and a comfortable bed. It also had an ensuite bathroom with basic amenities. The breakfast is pretty simple, but for the price of the stay, it’s what you’d expect.
The staff are extremely helpful and efficient. A special shoutout to Mr. Hani—he’s truly a jack of all trades! From the moment I checked in until he personally helped me get into a taxi for the airport, he was always there to assist with anything I needed.
The best part about this hotel is definitely the location. If you’re in Cairo to explore its history and mysteries, this is the perfect base. Everything you need—shops, restaurants, and attractions—is close by.
One tip: Don’t be put off by the entrance or the elevator area of the building. It might not look great, but once you’re inside the hotel, it’s well worth the price.
PS: You might get a little confused when you arrive because there are a lot of tables and people sitting at the entrance, but that’s just the outdoor seating for the pizza place. Just walk past them and head to...
Read moreI had two bookings at this hotel, across a ten day period. My first booking was for one week as a solo traveler; nice room, quite a good location. Breakfast is very basic and on one occasion I waited more than 30 minutes for it. To summarize: first time here was quite decent. I arrived for my second booking with my girlfriend, one day after checking out from the first booking. We were denied a room and were told the booking had been transferred to their ‘sister hotel’. I was treated as if I was never there for a whole week previously and asked the man behind the counter if he remembered me, he said yes of course and our not being allowed to stay in the hotel was “not personal”. We reluctantly went to the other hotel where the room was much smaller, the walls were in a bad state of disrepair and everything felt quite dirty. We asked to cancel and get a refund and was told I wouldn’t be charged a cancellation fee. I was charged a cancellation fee of one nights board. The receptionist in the second hotel was very smug and seemed to find out predicament quite funny. I will never come back to either hotel after being treated so shabbily. I was told I could call the manger back the next day in regards to the cancellation fee but our schedule was very busy and there was really no time to deal with something that was caused entirely by the hotel and their failure to uphold our pre-paid...
Read moreThe hotel is not recommended for its quality, price, or facilities. The bathroom is old and dirty, and the room is damp and unhealthy. There are photos that show the room's horrible, horrible condition. I won't return. It's a joke and deceitful. The photos in its publications are lies and shameful for tourism. I dislike that Booking.com or other companies value this hotel with its poor condition, even down to the floor. The breakfast is laughable. There's nothing to choose from. Poor, poor, a deception like the ones in my photos. It's better to have breakfast outside, with more expenses. They are hotel groups together: Miramar Green, Miramar Evergreen Hotel, and New Lotus Hotel. All three are the same deceptions in their prices and their misleading photos. Where is the Ministry of Tourism with these hotels that don't comply with the rules and...
