the hotel is ok, probably not the best value for its money, but clean
they messed up our rooms, so the first few days they gave us a triple instead of double plus single. it was very uncomfortable especially the first night when we arrived at 3 am after our flight and we had to wait to have the third bed because it was an added bed in a double room and they hadn't made it. the man at the reception apologised.
however, the breakfast service is unacceptable. we placed our orders the night before and still had to repeat it to them at least 5 times AND wait for a hour and a half to be served. Last day was absolutely the worst. they even served other tables which got there later before us. after an hour and a half came my wafer, super thin and inconsistent and covered in syrup (which was way too sweet). I asked for some normal chocolate to eat with the bread they had brought with the Egyptian breakfast and they didn't bring it. we asked for a croissant and it took an additional 45 minutes. by then we had to leave so I asked for take away, told them both (the manager and the waiter) not to put the syrup on it and they still did.
imagine losing 2 hours in your last morning in Cairo and still getting out of here very...
Read moreCleanliness: 7 Clean, but there's an area for improvement.
Comfort: 6 The room is small, not soundproof. Small Queen bed, but comfortable. The area around the hotel is very quiet.
Facilities: 4 A stove and a microwave are available in the room. The shower is too small to have a comfortable shower. No complimentary toiletries or hairdryer. Despite being a relatively new hotel, a lot of stuff are old, broken or not in place. No gym or pool. Small, but free parking area.
Location: 8 The location is very good, near Old Cairo, Tahrir Square, and can easily get to Downtown by Uber. A lot of shops, supermarkets and restaurants are around. The Nile view is nice, but don't expect to enjoy it that much in such a hot and humid weather, you'll have to enjoy it from the indoors.
Staff: 8 Great hospitality from all the staff, very helpful, polite and cooperative.
Breakfast: 6 Breakfast is good, but with very limited choices.
WiFi: 2 Poor WiFi connection. It's not even a WiFi, it's a hotspot which disconnects frequently.
Value for Money: 5 Not worth the price, but I had to complete a two-week stay as the booking was...
Read moreI recently stayed at Nile Villa Hotel and had a wonderful experience. Among all the hotels we visited in Egypt, the staff at this hotel were the most polite, kind, and genuinely smiley people we encountered. Their warm hospitality truly made our stay memorable. Thank you 🙏
The hotel itself is decent and really nice for couples. Our room offered a lovely view of the Nile, complete with a cute little balcony where we enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. However, I did notice that the maintenance of the facilities could be improved a bit.
One of the highlights was the breakfast, which was served at a charming café just beneath the hotel, right in front of the Nile. The atmosphere was delightful, making our mornings even more enjoyable.
Overall, I would recommend Nile Villa Hotel for a...
