Although we were initially not very excited about Hurghada because of the accommodations, we found this hotel from the Sentido chain, whose standards we knew from last year in Tunisia. I would start with something specific to this hotel, which is not negative, but should be taken into account: between the reception / restaurant area and the beach there is a walk of about 8-10 minutes. At check-in our luggage was taken by the hotel staff and brought directly to the room. The complex has a reception / restaurant area at the entrance, then the rooms are arranged in two parallel rows of buildings, about 7 buildings on each side. We were accommodated in building 22, which is the closest to the beach. Accommodation: the room was very large and fully equipped. The double bed (consisting of two single beds) had an extremely comfortable mattress. The furniture in the room was more than enough (desk, 2 chairs, table, bedside tables, TV with international channels, 2 wardrobes, safe, fridge, kettle). The bathroom, also huge, was equipped with everything necessary for an extraordinary stay. On the balcony there were 2 chairs, a table and a clothes dryer. The air conditioning worked permanently, maintaining a pleasant temperature in the room. Beach: very close to us, with enough sunbeds and umbrellas. Regardless of the time we went to the beach, we found free sunbeds (even if not in the first rows). The area is a golf course, so we were not affected by the low tide, and the sea maintained its position permanently. Next to the beach there was a very long pontoon that led to the sea, where you could climb out for snorkeling. Both the beach and the end of the pontoon were supervised by lifeguards. Food: for breakfast the dishes were constant. There were chefs who cooked omelets in the morning. There is a fairly large variety for breakfast and lunch. For dinner, there was a specialty every night. The most interesting aspect was related to the a la carte restaurants. There are several specialty restaurants (Mexican, Spanish, Asian, Indian) in the complex in addition to the main restaurant. Moreover, guests of the Sentido Mamlouk complex can also use the facilities of the next complex (Sunrise), where there were also specialty a la carte restaurants (Italian, Mongolian, etc.). For these restaurants, a reservation had to be made the night before, and all meals were all-inclusive. During a week-long stay, we ate at a different restaurant every night. The staff: is very friendly and wants to help and make the stay as comfortable as possible. The reception staff is very friendly and solves all requests, the cleaning staff always asked if everything is ok and if we need anything, at the restaurant the waiters cleared the tables very quickly and were attentive to the needs of the guests, at the bars the staff moves very quickly. When we went on excursions, the breakfast (very hearty) was given to us to take away, and on the last night, although we checked out at 4 am, our luggage was taken from the room and taken to the reception. Facilities: the complex has two large swimming pools, in a very well-kept yard (they mow the grass every three days), a spacious beach and the possibility of accessing the facilities of the Sunrise complex next door (such as the aquapark). There are animation teams that have activities at every time of the day (darts, volleyball, beach and water dancing, yoga), and shows are organized every evening. The complex also has a children's playground and a spa / massage area (for a fee). The complex is equipped with several bars: 2 on the beach, 2 at the pools, 1 at the bar next to the reception, 1 in the reception (with extended hours). In addition, each restaurant has its own service. Application: the hotel has an application through which you can make reservations at restaurants, order products in the room (for a fee) and report...

Well, this was quite an experience. Now I know, I won’t wanna have that anymore.
I guess start with the positives: Resort looks nice, it’s very clean, also the pools. Great effort put into this. Rooms are spacious and have pretty much everything you need. Location close to the airport and a mall. Food selection is quite amazing unfortunately with very few Gluten free and lactose free options. Spa is recommendable but nothing out of this world.
However, we were faced with a big bunch of downsides: Food quality is varying quite a bit and a lot of the meats are just very dry. Fruits are more European than they need to be. Very little mangos even though Egypt is a huge exporter and it was the season? Drinks and cocktails also vary heavily in quality. Most juices used are of low quality and with sugar. Even though the staff speaks English and sometimes also German, they sometimes don’t seem to understand you either way (simple language). This then results in getting something completely different from that you ordered. There is an anti reservation policy in the morning for the sunbeds which is completely not enforced. People also often just save a sunbed for several hours while not even being there. More a guest problem obviously but it comes with it. Pool areas have little actually quiet spots. Too much music, too much entertainment team and all. Sales guys from spa, beauty, fish tanks … well you name it, are roaming the pool and beach areas which sometimes can be annoying. Entertainment program is kids focused until 9 (entertainment stops at 10). Not enough shade spots throughout. There is a paid play area which is just trampolines, air hockey, Billard …. Why is this paid? It was usually completely empty. We ordered a breakfast bag for our way to the airport with gluten free and lactose free. It wasn’t that (had one (1) of the gluten free muffins from the buffet. Otherwise cheese and a lot of other bread. We had a tour to Luxor and wanted to take these cushions, which are on top of your bed (the ones you don’t sleep on and usually put to the sides), to sleep in the bus. Because of „hygiene reasons“ we weren’t allowed to. They have removable and washable outer layers. I’ve been to many hotels where we had such a situation and it was always possible. Just wash them after??? On the day of checking out, we were flying out in the early morning. We went to the reception a day prior to ask for help with our luggage. We were told to just call the reception and they will come. We were woken up earlier than we wanted to by the concierge to ask if we need help. The telephone ringing is loud as it can be and waking up felt like in Guantanamo. We reserved for one of the restaurant (Asian restaurant- which normally always fully booked) two days prior through the concierge. We also reserved for that day which worked perfectly. But the reservation for the Asian restaurant didn’t work out, on the day we got there our room number was not on the list, but thankfully it got sorted and we are still allowed to dine in after clearing the miscommunication. The clinic didn’t have ice packs. The first thing that happens if that you’re seated and given a price list. No complimentary consultation or any questions asked. The internet did not work the whole (!!!) week we were there. We were always told that it’s the providers fault and there has been an nationwide issue. First, it wasn’t an issue in the nearby mall or many other places (talked to other people outside the resort). Second, you really should change your provider. We had to get an e sim (additional costs) to make sure we can proceed with our tours as communication was sometimes needed.
All in all, I cannot recommend the resort. We are surely not the target group, but now we know that we won’t do all...
Read moreAmazing hotel, can't recommend it enough, delicious food & drinks, adult-friendly, amazing staff (shout out to "Disco Time" Kareem and room guy from 25303).
We were a group of 20 people and booked 10 rooms at this hotel for 7 nights, between 20 & 27 September 2025. We did it based on the good reviews, and I can say they were well deserved. Except for one couple, who got their room at the neighbour hotel (Sunrise Garden) and were a little bit upset about it, none of us had any complaint whatsoever for our entire stay. I want to start with the staff, in case the review is too long and you don't reach the end. The entire staff, from the reception to waiters, from the room boys to the cleaning personal, were EXCEPTIONAL. They were very kind and considerate, they were sociable and friendly without being harassing, they were funny, always smiled, always treated guests like it was their home. Big shout-out to our room guy (I forgot his name, but we were in room 25303, so if the management sees this, please take him in consideration) and to Kareem from animation (the guy who always yelled "DISCO TIME). They raised our spirits everyday and made us feel like home in that beautiful place. The food from the main buffet and the other restaurants that you have to book (we only been to mexican, spanish & asian) was delicious and very pleasantly presented, really restaurant-quality. What we did not like about the buffet was that at breakfast, in Romania at least, we are used to good meat cold cuts, like bacon, ham, sausages and others alike, which in my opinion they did not have (we personally did not like any of it, maybe it's specific to Egypt and just did not sit well with us), but anyway, it compensated with a lot of diverse dishes, for all tastes (the fresh omelette that the kind lady made in front of us warmed my heart each day). The drinks were delicious as well, cocktails had alcohol and tasted like real cocktails. We are heavy beer drinkers, and I can say the beer was ice cold (at some bars) and had a good taste, but you don't get the buzz from it, it' really light. The entire vibe of the hotel was amazing, the fact that they had the pool split into to sections (one silent, no music, only chilling) and the other more animated (with music, animation, water polo, volley) was an exceptional idea. One thing we feared of was the kid animation program, but unexpectedly, it was well done, at the neighbour hotel where the aquapark is mostly, and at evening at the main stage, but the music...
