Cleopatra Bazaar is a good shop plenty of things with fixed prices, but they have a very bad method with the return money.

When you buy there, if you have to pay for example 56 egypt pounds, they tell you they don't have 4 to give them back to you and they give you gums (yes, candy) instead.

If you have to pay 52, they expect you to pay exactly 52p.

We have been there 6 times in two weeks holidays, and they give this every time to all of us (a group of 7 people).

The last day, when we bought jewels, they gave us a receipt of 40,25€. We paid 41€ and they told us they didn't have the 75cents so they gave us 50c and 1 pound. When we told them that was not correct (as EGP is 20 for 1€, it must be 50cents + 5 EGP) they tried to change us the amount in the receipt and they told us to "Shut up and sit down".

Is not a money problem (as you can imagine 50cents is nothing for us), is the fact they think you are stupid as you are tourist (they were laughting all the time in front of us and they told us they don't have egypt pounds cents and this is not true).

We suppose they do the same in all the shops with all the tourists and they share the rests between them (we accept the rounding, ok, but they must be polite and don't think we are stupids).

Be careful with the return...

Local market, with "fix prices" .... Thats a lie u can trade all prices. The people are friendly, but dont make the mistake and talk to everyone, they wont let you go until you bought something. Safeness is okay. You should also know, all is fake there, lether is no lether. The Local ad's written by visitor's are also fake, they talk to all visitor's to write ad's.

So watch your money, dont talk to all locals and trade ! ( Bag price 32€ with trading 12€ ) I hope this recent...

Veel mensen zijn wat deze winkel betreft in de war. Mensen plaatsen negatieve reviews over vervelende verkopers. Maar dit is een winkel en niet de locatie waar de winkel zich bevindt. De verkopers in de winkels naast deze winkel zijn inderdaad erg vervelend.

Maar ik heb in de cleopatra bazar heerlijk rustig kunnen struinen. Alle prijzen staan vermeld bij het artikel en de prijzen zijn super. Het is niet nodig om te onderhandelen. Het is een schone en grote winkel die alles aanbied. Van souvenirs, kleding en tassen tot parfum en handgemaakte zandflesjes.

Wij hebben al onze souvenirs en parfum hier gekocht. De parfum wordt heel netjes op een teststrips gesmeerd en overhandigd. Niet zoals bij andere winkels dat het op je lichaam aangebracht wordt. Wie weet op hoeveel lichamen die dop is geweest en hoeveel bacteriën er in de parfum zitten. De parfums gaan per gram. Je hebt verschillende formaten flesjes en alles gaat netjes op de weegschaal.

De parfum is van extreem goede kwaliteit. Ik had een kleine druppel op mijn hand aangebracht en lucht bleef lang hangen.

Er wordt echt uitgebreid de tijd genomen om er voor te zorgen dat je tevreden de winkel verlaat. Wij gaan zeker terug in de toekomst om in alle rust heerlijk onze souvenirs te kopen voor een eerlijke prijs.

Ik raad het aan...
