The Sand City is a tourist trap where they do not take no for an answer and don't respect that you are not interested in interacting with their extra activities like camel riding. Focus is on selling you stuff you are not interested in. When it comes to the actual sand sculptures they are not maintained why marks after animals that have climbed the sculptures can be seen, as well as parts of the sculptures that have fallen of are not restored. It's a shame to rate 1* because the sculptures are great, but the people who work there are scammers. We got charged 1,200 Egyptian Pounds EACH for entry fee (2 of us, so 2,400 total), when it should have been 600 Egyptian Pounds each (1,200 in total for both of us). The entry fee is advertised online as €10 Euros, but we did not know this at the time.
At the time of writing this review, 600 Egyptian Pounds is equal to roughly €10 Euros, or £8.85 UK Pounds, or $12.15 US Dollars
