The Sand City is a tourist trap where they do not take no for an answer and don't respect that you are not interested in interacting with their extra activities like camel riding. Focus is on selling you stuff you are not interested in. When it comes to the actual sand sculptures they are not maintained why marks after animals that have climbed the sculptures can be seen, as well as parts of the sculptures that have fallen of are not restored. The execution and handcraft of the sculptures is unfortunately not very well done or aesthetically appealing. There is a section with historical and mythological sculptures which is better executed and another section with sculptures imitating cartoon characters but they look very unlike the original figures and some of them even scary or weird. There are descriptions of half of the sculptures but no information about the artists. The entrance is 10 euro per person and for that price we have seen more beautiful sand sculptures. Another 30 euro was asked for the unwanted extra activities. Use your time (and money?) wisely and find another attraction which is worth it. On the positive side the place was easy to find - there are many signs directing you to the place so you can't miss it, and there was no line to...

BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU PAY!!!

It's a shame to rate 1* because the sculptures are great, but the people who work there are scammers. We got charged 1,200 Egyptian Pounds EACH for entry fee (2 of us, so 2,400 total), when it should have been 600 Egyptian Pounds each (1,200 in total for both of us). The entry fee is advertised online as €10 Euros, but we did not know this at the time.

At the time of writing this review, 600 Egyptian Pounds is equal to roughly €10 Euros, or £8.85 UK Pounds, or $12.15 US Dollars

Far from crowds and very close to the most famous mall in the Red Sea city, which is Senzo Mall. It is suitable for all ages, especially children. They can watch cartoon legends such as Tarzan, Mickey Mouse and many others in only large sand statues, five meters long and taller. Adults also have their own section, but both sections. It is wonderful, there is no denying that. You can also get hot and cold drinks there, and there is ice cream with an indescribable taste that is beautiful in the sun, bringing you back to your country for a moment 😅. The work team there is professional and organized to the fullest, and they will teach your children some small crafts using sand tools, and they can also use colors. And brushes to color some small plaster shapes. You can also come across an Egyptian heritage party there with some students performing beautiful Egyptian dances. You can buy some small, ancient Pharaonic and new Egyptian handmade gifts,And there's an Arab tent with Arabic coffee and Arabic tea. It's a really cool...

Some nice sand sculptures, with a kids section too. Depending on how much you like to read up about each sculpture you can get through the place pretty quick. We managed to see everything in 10 mins, which is probably not worth the entry fee of 300EGP, which the guy also tried to charge more! There are one or two small shops on site, and a very persistent guy walking around asking if you’d like to sit on the Camel! If you haven’t seen sand sculptures before, might be worth a visit, but I wouldn’t have high expectations! It’s quite close to Senzo Mall too, we managed to walk through the back and get there in about 5 mins.

Very nice place to visit, it could use a better sign post from the road, some taxi drivers have no idea where to go. You can see on some statutes that they are made of clay and on top of them is a layer of sand, co clearly not all statues are purely made of sand, but who cares, it is still breathtaking experience. Area is divided in two sections, one is historical mainly for adults and second is for kids with mostly hollywood statues. In the area is a toilet, some snacks and possibility to drive a camel (for cash).

It was exceptional! Sculptures are insanely gorgeous and there was labels tells some hisortic facts on the sculpture in different languages. The artist, Abanoub, also was there and told us about the techniques and all. He also invited us to the lights show at night (it was open until 12:00 am) and it was another great, different experience. Tickets were available on doors and you can pay either cash or visa. The place also had an Arabian tent that serves drinks. Highly recommend.
