This place has a souk, arcade shops, mcd, pizza hut, kfc, chillies and other food places. Sells local oils. for all the local shopping needs. Souk make sure you haggle and do it hard as you can make massive savings, pick a price you're happy to pay, and stick to it, You just have to commit. For E.g, I got a Mosalah statue started at £35 paid £13 for it. Sells tshirts ornaments belts trinkets clothes sun glasses. Great place for those worried about safety as it's inside a air conditioned shopping centre.
Arcade Great indoor soft play small compared to uk versions, but still their, also you need to have egytian pounds to top up an arcade card to use on all the machines and rides. Fun and safe.
Foodcourt Full range of food kfc mcd pizza hut for those UK people. Prices are slightly cheaper, but the portion size is bigger. You ca. Use the mcd app, but you need WiFi or mobile date. The shopping g centre didn't have WiFi, and neither did mcd. We had a kfc, the chicken looms slightly different but similar taste (make sure you do not order the spicy one if u want mlnormla kfc, my partner likes spice but they blew her head off, if u do like spicy the go for it. Mine cost 900 Egyptian £ for 20 pieces meal with coleslaw and 1 litre Pepsi. Works out at £23.30. I used Google Pay for everything in the supermarket apart from the souk, as I got a better rate on my credit card. As they don't accept English money or if they do the try to give you a massively lower rate.
Shops Their is a perfume shops, natural oils, clothes, toys, inflatables, sun glasses, real jewellery shops, and a supermarket.
Spinneys By far the reason you go is spinneys its a low cost massive supermarket about same size as a Tesco superstore size, but this is were you get all you sweets chocolates toys water guns clothes meal milk etc, it's so cheap compared to hotel shops that it's worth getting the taxi to it from your hotel (we were at makadi Bay jaz hotels. (Taxi cost 10 euro each way). It sells some stuff in a small bizarre that is cheaper than the souk so befinetly walk around both places . You need to pay in egytian or use card. Again, the card was better for me as I got a better rate and didn't need to carry thousands of the local money around.
Taxi We used hotel taxi their is uber but the taxi was fantastic €10 each way taxi was clean smoke free safe drove as safe as I can expect their we arranged collection time and he arrived 15mins early which was great as we were ready.
Time their. We easily spent 3 hours their and we had been before
Overall, it was a great place to visit safe, air-conditioned fun and had everything we...
Read moreWas ok, and good prices, but if you are looking to have a beer, then don't bother, as they don't sell alcohol in any of the cafes, which is a shame as it would have made the trip perfect, as I could have shopped and let my other half sit and have his beer. I hope they change this and quick as this would have been perfect trip. The Jacobs coffee cafe was excellent though. Their coffee tasted great. Also, there is a duty-free shop their and you must take your passport and boarding passes with you within the first 48 hours of getting there to use this shop, but it was worth it. Also if you require a pharmacy/chemist/apotheke they are called Elezaby and they are helpful and reasonably priced. There are also 3+ ATM/Cash machines in which will change most cash into Egyptian pounds for you even without having to put a card in first. For English users of the cash machine to change English money money to Egyptian, click on Forex exchange and type in 0044 then your telephone number and confirm then feed in your English notes to exchange. McDonald's was nice too and there is also a KFC and Pizza Hut and there are other restaurants too. The supermarket is called Spinneys and found this shop mainly accepted Egyptian pounds only, as does most of the Mall. Please see pictures attached for...
Read moreFrom your hotel in Hurghada just order an Uber it's the easiest way and the best price you can get. Otherwise you can get a taxi but you might need to fight for the best and fair price with the driver. When you arrive at the shopping you will find several stores with fixed prices and also souvenirs but the price is higher than in the street shops. So not sure if its worth, I guess it depends on you. I was also surprised because I tried to buy cigarretes in the only available place in this shopping and the seller has tried to sell it more expensive than the real price. Of course this was sad and negative for me and the seller was not happy that I knew the real price, so I strongly advise you to be careful even inside the shopping. Obviously I refused to buy. This should be forbidden at least inside the shopping, they want to take advantage from tourists. To finalise the shopping its OK perhaps to visit once but that's it nothing much to...
