We stayed there for 3 nights in Adha feast in Sept 2015 . We wasn't happy at all from the experience and I guess that was the first and last time to go there .||1. Breakfast : It should be available from 7:00 till 10:00 am . It was never available on time . They start to prepare it @ 7:50 with still a lot of missing items. Very poor variety , small quantities , no bakery at all , bread is not fresh, unclean tablecloths , no trash cans !!||2. Pool Area : It is full of annoying cats . The swimming pool hoods was making a very loud noise 24/7 and spoiling any sense of quietness / pool enjoyment . On the 2nd day , the hoods were not working , and it caused the pool's water to erupt all over the area and it did wet our shoes and bags !||3. Room Cleanliness & Comfort : The closets were dusty . The pillow was very soft and totally uncomfortable . The bathroom has no cleansing lotions and the soaps are of very bad quality . There was no daily room service at all . We stayed for 4 days , no one offered to clean the room or provide us with supplies of soap or tissues . In one of the rooms , the ceiling was wet and dropping water .||4. Towels : There are no towels to be taken on the pool . We were supposed to use the same wet one used in our rooms . On second day , we came back from the beach and wanted to have our showers and asked them for clean towels , they informed us that there are no available ones !!!||5. Wifi : No Wifi was available in the rooms . It was only around the pools and in balconies , and it was even very weak outdoors.||6. Staff : There was no professional stuff with uniforms & tags . The whole staff is almost 3-4 men working around the whole motel . They seem totally unprofessional and they don't understand what they are doing with very poor sense of responsibility and customer's comfort. One day on breakfast , it was ready by 8:10 am, I asked one of them , wasn't it supposed to be ready by 7:00 am ? He stood there staring at me without even apologizing for the delay and turned his back and left.||7. Hotel Rate Vs. Response : The hotel rate is more expensive compared by the other ones in the center of the shopping area itself , and yet no value was received for this . This was a very frustrating experience and I don't recommend...
Read moreWe stayed at La Reine for about 5 days while diving the Red Sea.||It's just around the corner from the markets and restaurants meaning you don't need a taxi to get around, but it's very quiet nevertheless.||Room was cleaned every day except for one day.||Overall the place is very clean compared to Cairo, staff added the extra touch when they cleaned the room by putting cooldrinks and bottled water in the freezer as well folding the new clean towels into different shapes every morning (was exciting to get back after a day of diving to see what creations they've made on our beds)||Staff was very helpful, even made plenty of phonecalls to help us get tours organised painlessly (free of charge), organised luggage and visa pickup when we had to be somewhere else during another tour, packed us breakfast for the mornings where we had to leave 3am or 7am for a tour. They really went out of their way to make things happen.||While waiting for the dive centre jeep to pick us up, we had nice conversations with some of the staff members.||They did our washing and we were very happy to have some clean, good smelling clothes again. The pillows were big enough to have a comfy sleep and solid enough to squash mosquitos.||||Some of the staff struggle to speak English, but there's usually another staff member nearby who will help translate.||||The only gripes I have with Le Reine, is that the bathroom is very squashed, the shower even more so and the breakfast is a bit skimpy if all you can eat is the bread and have to give away all the cheeses and yoghurt to the stray cats - banana was often too green to eat and I was hoping for maybe a mango to munch instead of all the dairy products (which I can't eat). Luckily the markets around the corner stocked some bananas, so I could fulfil my breakfast-calorie requirements.||||Overall a very...
Read moreWe stayed here at Christmas 2007. The pool area and reception is nice and clean. We had a downstairs room with a balcony overlooking the pool. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. It had enough wardrobe space, a tv and fridge. The bathroom was a bit tired and had a green gloss painted door that made it look a bit like an outhouse.||The breakfast room was also a bit tired and the breakfasts were ok if you got there early enough (nice coffee and omelettes). The staff were polite and they arranged transport to and from the airport, which was on time and a reasonable cost.||The location is great, only 5 minutes to the shops and restaurants of which there are plenty. Despite worries about the food it was all good and plentiful if you stick to the local fare. I don't recommend the Italian Restaurant. The Nessima Resort does an excellent fillet steak for about £7, and it has a great bar with a lovely bar man. Dahab is typically Eqyption and looks a bit run down in places. There's not much to do here if you don't like snorkelling or scuba diving unless you go on organised trips. If you do like diving/snorkelling I would definately come. The red sea is...
