Big reminder... a fancy hotel is no guarantee of safety. Swimming alone last night, ear buds in, singing happily. Hotel staff member waved me over, figured he was telling me the pool was closed. Nope, he grabbed my bikini top and started pulling me towards him, I yelled... he grabbed my wrist, I yelled louder. Then he ran off. I was not harmed. Total garbage. I went straight to the front desk, bawling my eyes out... because I assumed would be safe at the nicest hotel I've ever stayed in. . Picked the bad man out of a line up. They wanted me to pick his punishment. I can't have that on my heart. Assuming he was fired. . Keeping small now. super shaken. Keeping my sunglasses on most of the time and wary of these men. . Not gonna let this ruin the magic... also blarg . Bonkers how women aren't people here.

It’s a 700egp entry per person but can be used towards anything bought, so it’s not wasted money if you’re staying for a drink or food. While we were there, Kirolos, one of the kind reception staff, gave us a wonderful tour of parts of the hotel and told us about the history of it, some aspects of the architecture and people who had famously stayed. He was so kind and funny and let us take some photos of the stunning location. Thank-you Kirolos! We celebrated with Agatha Christy and Whisky Sour cocktails on the terrace while watching the sunset.
