Aswan Tours — Local services in Abd Al Hafiz Abou Qedies

I and other 2 travelers booked a felucca sailing trip from Aswan to Edfu (3 nights, 4 days). The first day, upon departing Aswan, the mast of our felucca broke within 10 minutes. The crew told us it would be solved swiftly and we would sail that day. Eventually we stayed ashore for about 7-8 hours and by the time the mast was fixed night had fallen. The agency did not react at all, and only the following morning they moved us to another felucca. The last day we barely had any sailing time, even though the agency had told us we’d sail until the afternoon, and we only made it to Kom Ombo, so half the distance we were supposed to cover. The agency was unsupportive, I feel like once we payed they did not care about the outcome of our trip. If interested in felucca sailing, avoid this agency and deal directly with boat captains in Aswan. Lunch was...

We paid for a 3 nights/ 4 day feluca tour. But ended up just with 2 days sailing because the mast broke on the first day after 5 min sailing. The repair took 7 hours. So the first day we were just waiting and couldn't do anything. The next morning they said we have to change the feluca. That should have been the first step to do because even the captain said it takes 2 days to repair. So they knew we won't sail with this felucca so why let us wait ? Agency said a refund is okay but never saw anything of this. I can't recommend this tour. Go direct with the felucca captions and look on the conditions of the boats. We had a great experience with Mr Mohamed and the tours and trips he and his team organised for us. We booked the transportation from Aswan to Abu Simbel, which was perfect. Then, we booked the Nile cruise from Aswan to Luxor with him as well. Everything went smoothly and he informed us very well about what was included in the tour and what was not.
