Cheap hotel in the middle of the city. Shopping center, old city and buss station are all within 5 min walking distance. Rooms and bathroom were clean and comfortable.

Really wonderful small hotel, very friendly staff, clean rooms and good breakfast. Location is the best, wright in city center Pärnu!

We were late booking this place and there were only a few options available to us in our price range. Just at the very upper limit stood the Hotel Hansalinn at £190 per night accommodating two adults and two teenagers in space containing a main room and adjoining small bedroom and a bathroom. Quite expensive but breakfast was included and this place had its own sauna and was well located for Parnu activities. If you look right now at the price for this room then it’s likely to be much cheaper than this. What we didn’t know when we booked was that the weekend we were there coincided with a very large music festival and when we arrived the place was buzzing with sober and very drunk festival goers. It seems to me that the hotel prices had been hiked up to bleed festival goers or deter them from staying here. We paid the price and di not sleep on the first evening when the festival was full throttle.||||All in all this is not a bad stay but not good value for £190. The hotel is quaint and staff were very friendly and right up to departure we enjoyed our morning chat with the owner while we ate our breakfast. Unfortunately he had left before we checked out, by then feeling that we had been somewhat conned by this ‘nice’ man.- see below |||| Our space was on the ground floor and on entering the room you did feel like the condemned entering a dungeon. Really dark and the main bedroom is lit via a window facing a small courteyard. Be careful pulling up the curtains in the morning as you may find a member of staff starring at you. I almost jumped out of my pyjamas when I checked the weather and faced the receptionist. She had escaped her hotel reception duties to have a quick fag round the back. The other bedroom had no windows and was a horribly hot and claustrophobic. There is air con in the main bedroom and a fan but neither serve the second bedroom. Bathroom is OK but at peak showertimes the water trickles out of the shower head and you have to move about to get wet. Towels were plentiful but old and very thin.||One day 2 the skies opened and it rained all day. So we thought we would try the sauna. Be very careful here as:||1. You need to book it in advance and it takes two hours to heat up. We actually tried to get in the day before but there was someone else in there and that was that. No sauna. We booked it on the rainy day and lucky for us (or unlucky – see below) the facility was available||2. The sauna was actually not that good because the room cannot contain its temperature for more than a couple of minutes before you have to put some more water on the heater. You basically boil for a minute before having to reheat the room 2 mins later.||3. IT’S NOT FREE. On the day NOTHING was mentioned about paying when we requested that the sauna be heated up for us. Next day when we checked out we were given a slip requesting payment of €16. Can you believe that? We were paying €206 a night and they charged us extra for the sauna. The lady who organized this did not mention cost once and I suspected that informing us about this unexpected cost was deliberately avoided. We could not find any reference to sauna costs in the hotel. This is clearly deliberate lack of information for their financial gain. They need to stipulate in their adverts e.g Hotel.com that this facility is not free and also mention this to guests BFORE or DURING booking the Sauna. OK €16 is not a whole load of money but as a family we felt we had been had been tricked and the experience left a sour taste in out mouths. We will have fond memories of Panru but not of this Hotel.||||Free WiFi was poor in our room and OK in the reception area. Plenty to eat at breakfast but coffee not that great and even as a guest (paying a lot of money) have to pay for a cup of coffee oustide breakfast time.. Bedroom facilities for making tea/coffee was...

During my present visit to Estonia, I stayed in Hansalinn twice. In general, both stays were very satisfactory. Prices were very much OK (having in mind that both cases were weekends in high season in the most popular resort). Rooms were fine, too, once (more expensive) larger, another time (cheaper one) rather tiny, both, however suited my purposes very well. The hotel is clean, service is nice, beds comfy, breakfast very good. There is no self-service tea/coffee, but they always ask and make it, as much as you wish. Bathrooms in both rooms were spacious but for some unexplainable reason, they installed microscopic sinks which would only comfortably suit for hand washing. ||Locality of the hotel is great – practically downtown, some 15 minutes on foot to the beach but at the edge of a park and very quiet. However, on my next stay there was a festival with rather loud live concert at the park which ended around midnight, so these who are early sleepers better check whether any concerts are planned around the date of their stay. Another thing – all rooms are reached by stairs, so not suitable for these with movement impairment or not able to carry their luggage. Ladies at the counter offer their help, of course, but there are...

Bathroom was dirty. Hair and dust allover it. Rug on the bathroom floor had many stains on it. It was impossible to lock the room door when leaving. Even tho we were able to lock the door with a key, it didnt actually lock and you were able to just pull it right open again. To be safe, we took all our belongings when going outside.||Very thin walls, every sound came clearly through. Cold floors, bad smell in the hallways (it gave a feeling like the walls, floors and furniture had seen some years of hard partying and smoking indoors).||Great disappointment, website and pictures were nothing like reality. You take the first step inside and realize you're being scammed. There were a family in the reception complaining same worries which are described above but also added that they had a spider and a spiderweb in their room. ||On a good side - bed was comfortable. ||||We rearranged our stay and left. Not worth the frustration. Nearby were hotel Rösenplanter and Frost (more expensive) but Rösenplänter was a great place to stay - actually historic outside and inside, high quality accomodation and clean. Rösenplänter also had a steam sauna in their bathroom, much needed relaxiation after night in Hansalinn.||||In general - do...
