Sweet Rosie Irish Pub — Restaurant in Pärnu linn

Total disappointment. I am an British guy that has lived in Estonia now for nearly six years and was looking forward to a taste of home. We arrived in sweet rosie for a pub lunch. When we entered we asked the server if the food was authentic and was the fish and chips good and the server replied " it was and the fish was cod, it even comes with peas". So we ordered fish and chips ( no Irish items on the menu in this Irish pub). First bad sign was when the condiments came to our table there was no malt vinegar, then the food came! Unrecognisable as fish and chips. Two overcooked chunks of frozen reformed fish in bread crumbs that was so over cooked that you needed a knife to cut through them,frozen french fries in a seasoning mix they have here, but we don't have in Britain, a tablespoon of peas server chilled for some strange reason and a heap of tartar sauce served like it was a creamy side salad! I found it offensive and indefensible that we were lied to and still our money was taken. Standards are clearly very low. Having picture you printed off of the internet of U2 and Sinead O'Connor on your walls and servings Guinness does not make you...

We visited two nights in a row, on sunday the staff was okay (we read the reviews and did not expect much, but also we have not gotten "extra" nice treatment in Estonia, so that was not really a problem), the girl serving came around regularly to ask if we would want refills, so she was doing her job well, just not as smiley as we're used to (and that's okay). But on monday we went again, and also got food - the service was 5/5, the girl serving us was super nice, spoke very good english, gave recommendations. The other girls working were also nice and welcoming. The beer was good of course, the food was also tasty and filling! The waitress recommended the duck breast and it did not disappoint!

So I recommend this place to anyone wanting a pint in a cool pub, and also get something to eat because the price/portion/quality...

It was really difficult to give this place 2 stars. The food and prices were great, but waitress Melissa ruined the whole experience. And the personal is the face of the restaurant. We ordered starters and main dishes, but waited for starters more than 30 minutes. Then I asked her politely when we will get it and if it will be at the same time with the main dishes then there is no point to bring the starter anymore. At that time Melissa made such furious face and went inside. Later another waitress brought all main dishes except mine and later mine starter. After I finished it she brought mine main dish.
