We have been doing Parnu visits with my friend every year, almost same timing - end of the August. Because we really do love this place! Every year we choose different hotel. This year it was Frost Boutique Hotel. ||If there would not be "Boutique" in the name, I would never write this review, but NO BOUTIQUE AND PRIVACY FEELING we experienced due to following reasons:||1. reception upon check-in super unhospital, you feel like you bother them. + exactly next to reception table is toilet. This means, in case you would like, according to boutique experience, have you privacy time, it would be emotionally uncomfortable to visitors. Does not seem and feel like boutique hotel should. Please consider, that toilet in the room (at least in our room) was also quite open. I am a person, who would like to have my privacy moment in privacy and maybe that's "my problem" :)|2. not privacy feeling. Small lounge, exactly in-front of the unhospital reception desc, feeling like you have been observed does not leave and gives emotionally uncomfortable feeling. |3. there was a minibar fridge in the closet of our room, which was giving high heat in the closet and probably it was hitting from the closet in to the room as well, because it was soo difficult to sleep at night. So I did not really sleep two nights. I asked receptionist if that ok, she said it should be like that.|3. SPA area. which is meant for 4 to 6 people max. Even when you make you appointment for exact timing, count that hotel considers its capacity 15 people. What means that you will never get you relaxation as you expect in boutique hotels. Because SPA area is extremely small - 4 sun beds and 2 chairs. This means upon 15 people presence, you can not (!!!) relax - because it super crowdy, super loud because of kids screaming and super emotionally uncomfortable. Forget about SPA kind relaxation; it reminded more like aqua park. If you are looking for Boutique experience, PLEASE look for another hotel. If you look for hotel experience then its ok. Beds were ok, breakfast was ok and finish materials in the SPA area where chosen with a good taste. This is mine as travellers and as...
Read moreWe did not like this hotel at all. The hotel itself is a small cute boutique hotel with nicely appointed rooms. The issue here is the service and the value.|When we checked in, the woman manning the front desk (the only employee around) was one of the nastiest hospitality people I have ever encountered. She needs to find another job. She greeted us with a look of disappointment, like we were bothering her. Our room was on the second floor and the hotel has no elevator, nor any bellmen, so guests have to lug their luggage up a narrow winding stairwell. She did not apologize for this inconvenience and offered no assistance, so we huffed and puffed up the stairs with our suitcases. Coming back downstairs after settling in, I asked her if the beach bars were open (it was 3pm). She told us some are open, some are closed, without providing any detail. Okay -- thanks for that incredibly useful info. Map of the town? Nope. Anything special going on tonight? She doesn't know. My daughter later asked her for a recommendation on a place to get ice cream nearby. She actually said to her that all of the restaurants have ice cream, so just go into any one of them. Thanks for that useful tidbit. And so it went. I'm not sure she could have been more unhelpful, unpleasant and just nasty.|Basically, this hotel, while fine at $200/night, is an enormous rip off at $400/night. Management tries to save money at every opportunity. The room has no slippers, no water bottles (all of the other similar priced hotels we stayed at on this trip in big cities had these) and not even bar soap (there is a bottle of something labeled "shampoo/soap" on the counter -- two for one, saving money at every opportunity!). There is no staff except for the front desk witch. Breakfast (while lovely at all of the other $400/night hotels we stayed at) is a sad joke. By the end of the stay, we felt ripped off, unappreciated and wishing we had stayed somewhere else. There are better...
Read moreWe had an old friend from UK in Finland and wanted to show her Tallinn and Pärnu. Because we knew that she will love all beautiful details and wants to give value for the quality we decided to come back to the hotel Frost. They have now a new expansion in the hotel but we decided still to take rooms from the older part. We stayed earlier in the White Suite and now booked for us Black Suite and for our guest an Ivory Suite. And again, everything was so perfectly done! You know that feeling when you open the hotel door and you can see all small details which makes your hotel very cozy and warm and when you open your hotel room door, you are almost like at home! Especially the White Suite is like that but our rooms were on the same level. Since our first visit in Pärnu we decided that hotel Frost will be our hotel and it will be.||||Thank you very much for your hospitality! See you on next time!||||Ja lyhyesti:||Jos menee Pärnuun, ja haluaa asua todella hienossa hotellissa, hieno ravintola ja upea aamiainen, niin tämä...
