The wonderful Restoran Edelweiss is housed in one of the beautiful large old wooden buildings in the center of the seaside resort town of Pernu in Estonia My wife & I both had the Wiener schnitzel with chips, salad, lemon & capers. It was also served with a round of butter infused with anchovies & paprika that brought a delicious hint of spice to the schnitzel when it was melted over and absorbed into the veal. We both had a bottle of the local Pärnu lager with our meal and a cuppa tea with our deserts of warm apple strudel with vanilla cream & and an extra scoop of vanilla ice cream for me. Read moreFive star dining experience. We were on a short half-a-day trip to Pärnu and this dinner was a cherry on top. We ordered four dishes, all of them are welly cooked and prepared with care. The peppersteak was so delicious though small in portion. The creamy shrimp soup was also out of our expectation. Staff there were friendly and understanding. There was no reservation available so we just went in and said we would like to celebrate a friend’s birthday. We left my family in Tallinn and headed to Parnu to visit more family and see one of the last towns my father lived in before having to leave Estonia as a child. He always spoke of Parnu with love.
