Aikatalo Hostel Helsinki — Hotel in Helsinki sub-region

So glad we didn't let the term "hostel" put us off, this place is so clean and professional and gave me the best nights sleep. The bathrooms are several individual toilets and showers in shared spaces that you can go into and lock (instead of large communal ones), and the private rooms are accessible only by swipe key. They have one shared fridge, tea and coffee making supplies, and good drinking water (it's Finland so all the drinking water is good, but still). The water pressure in the showers is amazing, and they have bidets with every toilet. In our room there were big windows too, so lots of natural light, and they have both curtains and blinds. The owners are kind and professional, and made our stay very comfortable. Such a convenient location, it's off the street and up a few floors so free from prying eyes when you enter (travelling as a young woman you worry about these things), and so close to everything you need in Helsinki. L'ostello si trova in una posizione centralissima, a soli 10 minuti a piedi dalla stazione centrale di Helsinki, il che lo rende ideale per chi vuole esplorare la città senza dover spendere troppo tempo nei trasporti pubblici. L'edificio è all'interno di un grande palazzo che ricorda un grattacielo, e l'ostello è al settimo piano.

Il check-in è completamente automatizzato, con indicazioni chiare e codici inviati tramite l' applicazione usata x prenotare facile da usare. Questi codici permettono di accedere all'ascensore, all'ostello e alla propria stanza senza problemi.

La stanza in cui ho soggiornato era davvero spaziosa e pulita, molto più di quanto mi aspettassi da un ostello. Il bagno è in condivisione, ma ben tenuto e sempre pulito. Inoltre, l'ostello offre un salotto comune molto accogliente e una cucina ben fornita, dove è possibile preparare i propri pasti, il che è perfetto per chi vuole risparmiare un po' sui costi.

Il prezzo, nonostante Helsinki sia una delle città più care al mondo, è sicuramente molto competitivo e accettabile, calcolando che siamo in pieno centro e strutture vicine costano veramente tanto.

Comfortable, clean hostel, with a private room, check-in was quick and smooth. Not far from the train station (5 minutes), which makes it easier to get to the airport. Most of the attractions are within walking distance, and there are also many cafes and restaurants nearby for every taste....
