My family recently stayed at Hobo Hotel in Helsinki. We were impressed with its central location, delicious breakfast buffet and extremely comfortable rooms. The hotel's location is unbeatable. Situated just a quick walk from the train station, port, and market square, the hotel made exploring the city incredibly convenient. The room was clean, modern, and well-maintained. The room was quite large and had everything you may need for your stay including hair dryer and iron. We appreciated the little touches like complimentary slippers, candy and the toiletries were luxurious. The staff were great; they let us check in early and answered all of our questions. The breakfast buffet was amazing as well. There were so many options of hot or warm food. Not sure which was better, the pork belly or the cheese omelette. We can't wait to visit again!

Did the mistake to visit the hotel as I was attending a conference nearby. Did not know its new and just opened. The hotel management decided to throw a party during my stay to celebrate that apparently without thinking what the guests would feel like having a DJ playing music as early as 18:00 to 02:00. People (obviously drunk) were shouting at the corridors for hours like nobody cared. Reception did nothing apparently than an apology. They should have not accepted reservations or at least should have informed us beforehand to book alternative accommodation. Totally unacceptable. Better avoid this hotel if you want to sleep and work. Update. Upon checkout I was informed that they refunded me the whole amount. Being a business reservation did not matter to me. I keep the gesture though.

One night stay with my wife. Some might say staycation, but I despise the world so I don’t.|Browsed through other options as well, but this seemed to be suited for us. And it was!|Contacted the hotel before our stay asking for a possibility to get our bikes somewhere safe. They replied very fast and told that we could carry our bikes in the room. Perfect!|The check-in time is 3pm. Got there about 1.30 and our room was already ready. Unheard these days. Again, super.|The room was quite small. I don’t mind, we only needed space for sleeping because we didn’t actually spent a lot of time inside. The room looked very nice. The bathroom was quite spacious and funny-looking, fresh I’d say. The room was extremely quiet which I appreciate being a terrible sleeper. Slept very good this time. Absolutely no outside noises. Only con is that the pillows are very, very soft. The room was cool enough and for once the air-con worked as supposed to. It usually doesnt in any hotels I’ve been. So all and all, liked the room very much.|The lobby area, as I’d say all of the hotel has that hipster-vibe written all over the place. Not that trying to be hipster but lacking something, but that hipster that doesn’t try to be too hip, if you understand. The hotel obviously has got this playful side written all over as well. The pingpong table Next to the reception is one sign of that, I think. The employees are lain back but service orientated first. They seem to enjoy working there, at least I hope they do! I guess I would at least!|The breakfest area was something I personally didn’t like. I prefere more intimate, maybe more darker vibe when eating breakfest just woken up. But hey, that’s just me. You might like it, maybe Even love it! I also would like to stuff some bacon in my stomach, but there wasn’t any. A bit disappointing but just a bit. Small things, not too serious again.|The check-out time is at noon. Correct me if I’m wrong but I think usually check out is by 11am based on my experience. This extra hour gave us a little time to enjoy the nearby Moomin shop before leaving.||I’d give this a 4,5 stars if I could. Only cons was the pillows and the lack of bacon. Again, nothing too serious.|BTW, they give you a free ICE cream if you rate the hotel on tripadvisor. Obviously not gonna claim my free ICE cream, but just another sign to stand out from rest of the ”similar” hotels and show some playfulness!||A fun one night stay,...

Initially isappointed at the first hurdle. Never have I gotten to a hotel and had such an anonymous reception. I had to check in myself! Not a person in sight but a sign on reception stating that they’re busy and a phone number to call for any issues. After the clumsy check in experience I went to the room, to find there was not even an ironing board or an iron. So not a good hotel for a business traveller. No phone in the room to call reception, so now I have to go down again to presumably find a number and call someone!! Thankfully there was someone at reception and they gave me the board and iron to take up. The reviews here talk of lovely touches of candy, large rooms etc. but these must be upper category ones. I don’t have a ‘box’ but a standard room. There is a plastic chair (very uncomfortable) at a small desk, obviously a double bed, and a bathroom. So I would not say that this is a particularly ‘nice’ room. No tea or coffee facilities (even a holiday inn has those) and no fridge or mini bar. So even if you grab a bottle from somewhere, you can’t chill it. The team provided an upgrade to a lovely room - thank you!! Upgraded the rating...

Tim and Cindy Arnold just checking in on my new friends in Finland. We stayed from June 22nd to June 29 2024.

I just wanted to let you know what an amazing group of people you have working (and hanging out) at Hobo! It is probably the best experience we have ever had at any hotel. Your staff made it even more amazing.

I cannot tell you how friendly, helpful, caring and fun Elmo, Sanni, Hemmo and Katalia are! Best bartenders ever! We felt like family! You can tell they love it at Hobo. It speaks volumes.

Your hotel has an amazing vibe and I love the design of the entire place! We absolutely loved it. We will be back. Many more things we want to do and see.

I would love to see you all again in the near future. These folks all deserve a raise. They are just amazing people. The food and drinks were amazing!

Best of success to you! You...
